Well now, if I were to order a Classic, (which I wouldn’t because there is too much complexity), I would order it with a manual awning. For crying out loud, give the customer the option. So if you LOVE the Classic, sorry Mr. Customer, you HAVE to have the electric awning with the poorly placed brains for it under the sink (even though you don’t want it).
Plus you’ll get all those electronic control panels that haven’t thoroughly been de-bugged.
If someone from the Customer Advisory board is listening, can’t AS offer upscale models with a few options that reduce the complexity yet still leave the luxury in?

The fewer hassles you have while you’re camping, the better.

I guess the genius engineers considered mounting the awning electronics with the circuit breaker box, but there wasn't enough room for both under the sink.

The under mount sink falling out is an epidemic across all RV brands right now. My son has a Forest River Mini Lite that had this issue. A cruise through the Mini Lite forums shows a LOT of the same problem.

After the second failure, by now out of warranty. I helped him solve the problem.

See, his sink was attached with double sided foam adhesive tape! The factory repair? More of the same. Time for a home baked fix.

First, clean off any residual glue (or tape). Acquire a piece of furring strip long enough to cross your sink, then visit the local Harbor Freight for a pack of 11 or 12" Zip ties. You'll also need to pick up a tube of Clear Non Expanding Gorilla Glue.

Lay wood across sink. Bend 2 cable ties a couple of inches from the end so that you can feed them through the the grid in each drain hole. Pull then through and zip an inch or 2 forming a loop. Thread a second Zip tie through each of the first ones, making a second loop (like making links in a chain). In our case a third link was necessary. Feed the furring strip through the top links in your zip tie chain. Leave the links loose enough so that the sink "floats" under the countertop. Use a LOT of that glue, all the way around. When done, Pull on the top chain Link zip tie to bring sink up to snug with the underside of the counter. BE CAREFUL, IF YOU PULL TOO HARD, YOU COULD BREAK THE DRAIN! Let it dry overnight. Using sharp scissors, cut the Zip ties and remove. Sink will be substantially better than new. And, as a good caravaner, Save the Wood, the unused zip ties and glue and put them in your "emergency" tool kit! (I did this on a double bowl sink. If you have a single bowl round one, you would only use one zip tie chain)

And with a total cost of less than $10 for supplies, and a half hour of work, might save a long trip to the dealer.

Plumber here. I hate under-counter glue on sinks. Even the kind with clips to hold it up. Self-rimming is the only kind I will own.

I think the demand for globetrotters has been fairly significant. Along with other models that utilize corian countertops. So this problem will just get worse. The good news is, there is a fix, just like other issues with every style and model AS. We still really like the GT interior etc..
However, my sink is still in place, and my powered awning is working fine. I may be dancing to a different tune next year. Ha!

Now my 5 GFCI pugs are off and the inverter will not come on.

Water was still getting to the back of the cabinet and the awning controller is no longer flashing. It's all dead. Where the water came from, I do not know. It may be the drain connection loosened up from our traveling today. I did not replace the putty used on the drain.

The GFCI breaker will not come on and I fear something like the inverter has a short. It looks like the inverter has a small reset switch on the top corner and reads 12 amp, but it will not trip or reset. Is the inverter on the GFCI circuit?

I have a small LED light I plugged into the receptacle near the stove and I am getting a faint glow! Obviously the power to these 5 plugs is there but really reduced.

Anyone know what is going on????

It may be time for a voltage meter to test -- with care -- the 120-volt GFI outlets, and other points IMO. Just make sure that a 120-volt wire is not shorting out on the trailer's framing/skin metal someplace. It might be dangerous to touch the exterior while standing on the ground barefoot, for instance.

You could unplug from shore power, and use the correct meter to check for short circuits, but this is above my pay grade.

You might call JC Monday morning early and see if you can drop it off before Ohio shutdown on Tuesday. If it's a 2019, it should still be under warranty and they can sort out the consequences of their stupidity.

Perhaps "a light" will go on and they will find some other location for the electronics. In any event, perhaps it will do some good for them to see "what could go wrong?" by placing the electronics under the sink.

There is likely some moisture triggering the GFI; that is what it's there for. Then again, when it comes to electricity in an aluminum shell where they throw these things together, I would not assume there is not a short somewhere. I have seen threads here where owners discovered AS used cheap RV outlets they literally jam into the wiring, with blade contacts on the backs cutting into the wiring to make the connection, I kid you not.

Dropping it off at JC is a huge crap shoot, Ohio is shutting down on Tuesday, so all work at HQ will likely cease until further notice; it could literally be months.

Right now I am literally watching my microwave come on and off and the charger fan turning on and off! My sofa usb lights are flashing and the night light plugged in at the stove plug is turning on and off. Everything just went dark!

Should I be concerned?? Micro wave just beeped and it came back alive? Fan on charger is clicking!
