Sewer Hose CONNECTOR Storage???
Hi All,
I would be interested in hearing how you all store your sewer hose connections. I have no problem storing the hoses (nifty hose holders under the AS). However, I have yet to find a good way (and place) to store the connectors (elbows, adapters, etc.)
Thanks, in advance for your ideas.
Dan

I stick those in the corner of the rear bumper storage (other thing I keep in there are blocks for sticking under the stabilizers, so I don't mind them there together).

We've got a designated compartment under the trailer in the outside edge of the belly pan where we put them all. Not sure when AS stopped including these belly pan compartments, but I find them quite useful.

In the bumper, after having been thrown in a Ziploc disposable plastic bag with a water and a little bleach - shaken and not stirred just like 007.

I have the 15’ Camco RhinoFlex, the tube with elbow fits into the storage tube along with the orange threaded adapter. Insert hose with elbow connected, the threaded adaptor goes in last, perfect fit. I also carry a 10’ RinoFlex in the bumper for short runs and when the 15’ isn’t long enough, which has only occurred once.

I've got 3 10' & 1 5' stinky slinkies , 90* clear elbow , 90* Red adapter , 2 10' grey hoses , sewer adapter with rubber ring and a screw in sewer adapter in my bumper compartment .
Most used are the 10' grey hose , rubber ring and adapter and 10' sewer hose with 90* adapters .
The only time the stinky slinky is used is to drain the black tank .
The grey hose is used all the time for grey water , no grey tank on this vintage '69 Trade Wind .

Hi
All the various hoses and adapters / connectors associated with sewage go in the rear bumper storage. They get *really* dirty back there, but (at least to me) that's not a big deal. Everything it right by the drain and it's easy to grab what's needed.
What's in there:
Two of the collapsible hoses (was three, but one self destructed )
Two sets of adapters for the collapsible hoses
A dedicated hose for those rare locations that allow gray water discharge via a 3/4" diameter hose.
An adapter for the 3/4" hose
A spare cover for the drain on the trailer.
What's missing: A spare for the output fitting on the trailer for when one of the little "studs" breaks off ..... I have empirical data on that being a needed item ....

I never thought to try putting the hose into the storage tube with the elbow attached. I’ll try that. I usually put two collapsible 10’ hoses in the tube, and I put the elbow and the rubber donut in the corner of the bumper storage area.

Golly. I will have to try this again. Was sure my connectors would not fit. Going to try again. If this works, it is an easy option.

Ditto! I only use/need one clear elbow for the sewer hose, for use at the dump site connection. I also use a cleanout hose, which I coil up in my bumper with the clear sewer hose elbow in the middle. I store my leveling chocks, and blocks in the rest of the bumper. Works well...4 Airstreams and this always works.

Clear cover
Good list, First thing on all our trailers is the remove the stock solid black Airstream dump valve tube cap and install a clear see though cover with hose fitting. I don’t want any surprises when I take that cap off to hook up! Camping world has them.

Sewer hose storage
I have always added a 2nd round tube storage under the trailer right next to the one that comes on the trailer. I can store 4 hoses in the two and place the fittings in the bumper along with leveling blocks.

I was looking at one of my ammo cans as a receptacle until I figured out that my clear elbow comes apart into two (2) pieces and fits right into my OEM storage tube.
I was going to mount the can under the AS bumper with the lid facing out and four (4) spacers to clear the lower lip. It would have been a cool conversation piece. If you do go that route, keep in mind your clearance when negotiating dips in the road, driveways, etc.
