That is so awesome that you are sharing! I’m looking forward to receiving the file and getting these in place. We now have taken out four of the registers to help with airflow. We like the increased airflow but not the looks of open holes in the ceiling so I expect this will be a huge improvement.

Hi. This is the link to the printer hardware site, correct? Perhaps the file itself is being emailed?

If we receive the file, how do we locate a 3d printer person to create? I would be willing to pay someone in our group to make me some. I live in Sacramento. Thanks

What do you think?
Thanks for the PM. Tried to reply but today I am not a trusted member. Some days I am and some days I am not. Will keep working to get you my email address using the proper process. I appreciate your willingness to share the print file.

Thanks to Randy (mythbuster88) for sending me the stl file.

Uploaded it to thingiverse for the community https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4596718

It took about ~15 hrs to print but am new to 3d printing. I may be able to tweak the settings to print quicker. Filament cost was $2.77.

I won't be manufacturing these any time soon, but for those without a printer, try one of these places:

..if you do get some printed, get one in cheaper pla material to see if it fits first, about $13.

When you know it fits, go for the more expensive sla material, about $70..it'll look better for your Airstream

Hey thanks for that.
Did you stick them in your Airstream?

My Airstream has non ducted AC, they're for a friend who I'm seeing this weekend. I broke one of the tabs though when removing the supports, will see how that works. Does yours fit snug to the opening?

Mine just popped in.
Yours may be thicker?
They should be thin and very light.
Do you have a picture with the broken tab?
Thanks for your help.

The dimensions should be identical. Yours was printed from the edge standing up. I chose to lay the model flat in the slicing program (Cura).
Based on the pics, my friend said they'll wait for a more refined V2...Wait they may have to

See attached of the broken tab as well as a good one for reference.

Looks like your printer isn't getting hot enough.

Nozzle was set to 195 and bed to 69 (PLA). All sorts of print settings were off.

The .stl model is good though, and there's been 28 downloads from the thingiverse link so far.

Hope to see other peoples prints of this register, or remix of.

Does anyone have access to the data file to print these A/C vents?

If you have made them (printed) are you happy with them?

Thanks!
