Airstream trailer length?

Hi all,

I have a very basic question that I would appreciate getting cleared up.

I used to tow a 27ft Wilderness travel trailer with my F250 diesel pickup. Combined length was 50ft exactly (I measured it for ferry pricing). That made the 27ft trailer
a total of 30ft from ball to bumper.

What is the length of a 31ft Airstream, ball to bumper?

I am just trying to visualize the difference in towing between the two trailers. If the Airstream is 31ft from ball to bumper, then there will be virtually no difference in handling and maneouvering.

I am looking at buying a 31ft unit and am doing some mental assessment before I look and/commit.

Any input would be appreciated.

Airstreams are measured bumper-to-ball so it would be 31' +/- some years they are a few inches shorter & others a few inches longer. But basically a 31' is 31'...the living space would be approximately 3' shorter than the advertised length.

Interesting you ask. My '01 27' Safari was actually 27' 11". The 30' and 31' '04 Classics are both really 30' 11". Go figure....
