Tow and Rear Video Cameras

One of the issues I have before I get ready to drive to LA is figuring out whether or not I should put a camera in the back so that I can relay the image to my laptop which will be up front with the GPS... anyone have any experience with this? I have a X-10 X-ray vision camera but I do not think it will work mounting it to the inside since the rear window is tinted... and really no place to mount one on the exterior easily... how has any one else perfomed this?

Our camera works great in the back window. You would never even know the window is tinted. Most cameras adjust to the amount of light. It is a great safety feature and really helps when backing up.
