How about listing the camera, lens and settings (Fstop, shutter speed).
Nice photo Zepplinium. My guess is 28 or 35mm lens?

Way off. but what I'm using isn't very common. (it's like cheating)
I'm using a 17mm on a full size sensor. 17-40mm Canon on an EOS-5D. I used to use a 45mm on a 4x5, which is the equivalent of about 14mm (it's not linear, but you get the idea).
I "practiced" with the 17-40 on my EOS-20D before I made the decision to go to the 5D. On the 20D, 17mm is more like 28mm, due to the sensor size. It just wasn't cutting it.
I can't give you the f-stop and speed--I took those as snapshots, so it's not recorded. I recall most of the evening sunsets were around 120th at f7-9 at ISO 100.
But it's not all in the camera. I take the files into Photoshop and adjust the levels, which has a contrast enhancing effect. I can also darken some areas, like clouds if they're too bright, and lighten others. I usually don't enhance the color--tint and saturation look good 90% of the time.
The photo in post #32 appears the way it does because it was nearly dark, exposure on the order of 1/2 sec, and when the brightness was brought up a little, the colors were naturally saturated and contrast between what light was left in the sky and the nearby earth was large.
BTW, the photo in post #61 actually looked like that to the eye. It was one of those ominous storms with lots of dark off to the right side of the photo. The sun was directly in the center, shinning through a thin veil, so it was very bright, but quickly fell off at the sides.

Actually you can give the f-stop since you are using photosho anyway....
With the photo open, just go to file on the menu bar and down to file info. It should list "description, camera data 1, camera data 2 etc." go to camera data 1. Viola!

well, blow me away! learn something new every day. One of these days I'm actually going to read the owner's manual (like, when I'm in the hospital and the TV is broken)...

ADK, love your teardrop. I was looking very seriously at building one from plans when I stumbled on my first Airstream. That's history. Looks like you're letting the purchasing decisions be made by the right person!
Here's what it looks like to be in the butt end of the San Juan ferry, looking forward... ...Mbuti loved the trip!
then turn around and see where you/ve been.

LOL.. at first I was drooling thinking that was your AS in a fine storage facility along with your boat and selection of tv's
Would have loved to build our tear or restore a vintage AS.. but alas I am better at a keyboard than working with tools.
So instead of a teardrop you now have a 31', a 27' and an 18'? Thats quite a constrast to a tear!

Hey Dave,
I convinced Jim Waldie to move up from a Teardrop to an Airstream, even found it for him in Ottawa. We've done a bunch of work on it for him over the winter while he refinished the woodwork at his home woodworking shop. It went on it's shakedown cruise over Saint Jean Baptiste weekend @ Rollins Pond. I guess you missed us! Even Rob was there! Let me know if you want to go Vintage.

I'm glad there's an ongoing photo contest...looking through everyone's great A/S photos made me realize that I don't have enough pics of ours out on the road! I'll have to change that.
It's not the best exposure, given the bright sun at that hour, but here's one of Airabelle pulling into Yosemite, dwarfed by El Capitan.

what the heck, I'm not going to have squat to show for August, but the June-July trip was LONG and lots of photos.
This is Arches National Park. Thank goodness it was a stormy day with low ceilings and rain until noon--kept us from frying.

Zep, you can't enter in August anyway... remember you're gonna' be the judge, right? It would be a hugh conflict of interest if you did the judge thing and submitted photos for the month... mind you they say we are our own worst critics.
