Wink owner, operator, captain

For the past 12 years I have operated a chartered sailboat for the boy scouts in the florida keys. 12 years later it is still hot in the summer and running from hurricanes is getting to be a habit. Alot of ocean to see and alot of land in our great country. Last Sept. I was visiting with my daughter in North Carlonia Mountians and had a idea for a change. Within a year I found a used truck a used airstream (New to Me), and caught a good dose of the aluminuminitis. I drove several hundred miles last week just to visit an airstream park. Will not pick up my unit untill September when my contract ends here. Until then I'll just look for the occasional silver milk tanker, or the familar shape of a LP gas truck, and figure out what all I need for the airstream, which I've named Sylvia. Hope to see you down the road and between the ditch and the hedges.

Great idea skipper! My Sis, in Jupiter, just bought acreage in the NC mountains near Tryon and will be vacating the state soon as well. Bon Voyage. We may cross paths up there as we're relocating to the mountains of VA and our new property soon as well. Can't wait.

Hey, uh, you should take your boat here to Michigan! We NEVER get hurricanes! Or Tsunamis, earthquakes, fireants, lava flows, volcanoes or border skirmishes! In fact, I'm only 45 minutes from Lake Huron and I can store your boat when you give it up for the Airstream! We can accomodate drydocking up to, oh, about 50 feet, and will kindly watch your boat in the summer in case it ever needs to be exercised!

Well, the offer is open, anyway.

AKA "Beautiful downtown Aledo"! Yes, if we can sell our place just outside of town, we'll be out of the heat (about the only thing we'll miss about Texas) and closer to the grandchildren (about 1,00 miles closer). We're looking forward to watching them grow up.
