Sounds like you live close to where I grew up!!!! My folks couldn't afford clothing you could only wear one day a year!

Now....Terry..uh.... here's an idea. We have a "BankForward", and an "InsureForward" up here in the "Very North".... I'm thinkin' you might be a great person to start a "ThinkForward" when you get settled again! We can feel your pain!

You sure can do amazing things on mechanical problems!!!

Anyway, you guys are having way too much fun down there! Sure hate you won't be in Florida so we can visit this year! But...Best Wishes for your new adventure...

There is plenty so see and do here in California. No hurricanes only an occasional earthquake.

Hey Terry and Marie,

What is your route to CA? Will you be passing through Arkansas? If you need a stop-over we have space with electric and water, and there is a dump station 12 miles down the road.

Have a VERY safe trip!

We are taking I-40 through Arkansas, starting at Little Rock. Is that anywhere near where y'all are?

YES! We are about 1/2 hour from Little Rock. When do you plan to come through?

I will be here on the 28th and would love to meet up with you guys, even briefly (I know you are heading west!)! You are more than welcome to stay the night if you like/need to, or I can zoom up to Little Rock and say hi at a truck stop or whatever works best for you. I will PM you with my contact info.

What's funny is you can see Brad at the end of your trip (he's working in Pasadena until February).

Terry,

If you're coming up through the southern part of Arkansas to LIttle Rock you'll be passing right by our place. As Susan said we are 30 miles south of I-40 where it passes through Little Rock.

I won't be there to see you but as Susan said she'll be there!

Forgot to ask, Terry, how will you be getting onto 40? If you come up I-530 you'll be about 1.8 miles from our house.

Hey! Put a tow bar on the front of the truck and once you have Bertha hitched up ........ hitch the truck to the van!
Not only could you two ride together, Sophie wouldn't have to choose one of you over the other. And you could save $$$ on batteries for the walkies too. Of course, you would have to take extra care not to curb the tires when turning corners!!! The visual is too funny! It would be "The Long Long Something" for sure. tehe

Yes, and if you only knew how large my PM box was...
I've cleaned out a few dozen, so I should be good for a couple of days now...

Susan,
If you need to leave a message for him, you can put in my messages. Being a Mod, he can access mine.

Also, look forward to seeing you when we get there.

Don't tell my boss I'm on the forums at work. What are they going to do fire me?

Setting up the hitch and checking lights...

This morning I am setting the WD system, setting the ball height, and verifying the lights work on the combined rig. I will be repacking bearings and checking brakes and trailer tire pressures later today, if the forecasted rain holds off. Here is a picture of Bertha and the new truck. I raised the tongue jack and stabilizers so I could check it all over:

Terry and Marie, have a good trip cross country and most of all, enjoy your new place to live even if it isn't Colorado.

A sign of 3rd degree burns. You've plumb fried off them nerve endins'.

Just catching up. This is where I come when I need a good laugh. Laughing with you, of course.

Terry, Marie, and Sophie ~ I wish I it would work for me to be somewhere along your route. I'd make it a point to meet up and at least briefly delay you.

Stay safe and may His angels clear the way before you.
