Look forward to any information of the fire suppression system! Also, Can you post the wiring details on your 50 amp conversion. I plan on doing both this fall/winter. I want to try and get the 50 amp done in September....

Thanks!

Bob, did you notice on the home page, recent photo the two wrecked coaches? The Legacy looks like it has aluminum wheels on it. Their in Tennessee, only four though.
But I have two I could part with.

The fire suppression system is going to take longer than expected...it has to be done right, and good enough will not work for me. Today I finished the generator compartment and the supply line going to the refrigerator compartment. I installed an isolation valve so I can remove the tank without draining the system. Location of the sprinkler heads is also very important.Click image for larger version

I am looking for 4 of the clips that hold the wiper washer hose to the wiper arms. I broke and the others are "fagged out". Does anyone know here to get them ? This weekend we will be in Cooperstown, N.Y. for the Labor day weekend with the 325.

When I was a kid, I watched my father pack all my mother's stuff into the trunk of the Cadillac for a two week vacation to a resort in PA. everything went...including the kitchen sink, so I learned about packing from watching him. No trailer and nothing in the aisle. All folding chairs and tables in the closets etc.

Very suitable headgear to be worn by Classic moho owners to Airstream rally meetings. I have to get one, seriously cool and functional.

Cheers
Tony

Time for phase 2 of my re-build to start. I would like to get the holding tank gauges to work again. The grey and black tank wiring came off years ago...it is taped up underneath for now. I will tackle them when I change the rear air bags on the lift this winter. My question is...I had the fresh water tank out last winter for cleaning....I disconnected the two sensors without paying attention to how they were hooked up. I did label the two blue wires front sensor and rear sensor but that was it. I am supposing that one sensor is for the auto-fill and the other sensor is for the tank gauge. I need to know where the wires attach to and I believe that I need the special foil/copper tape to conduct the AC current across the four tank probe pins. Any help would be appreciated

So nice to have accomplished everything I wanted to get done this season. I want to thank all that helped me from the wipers to the wheels. This winter brings on phase 2 of my overhaul which wifi include replacement of most of the 12 volt wiring, a new inverter to change 12 volts to 110. Rebuilding of the exterior company's to stainless steel, a new upgrade from the 3-row to 4-row radiator and the addition of a seven blade fan from the 5 blade.Click image for larger version

It's a lot easier to work on the Airstream 325LE when it's 6 feet off the ground. Thanks to my professional friend Gary Trombley at Trombley's Auto, Breakabean, NY. I need to get the replacement air bags for the rear end....loosened the top two bolts and the single lower bolts today. I am not sure but I believe the Firestone bags are original and I want to change them as a preventative measure. I also need some help with the wiring on the grey and black tank sensors. The fresh water tank has two sensors and I believe that one is used for the auto-fill and one is used for the gauge itself. I peeled off what was left of the aluminum/copper tape but I still do not understand how to rewire it.Click image for larger version

Round 2 has officially started yesterday. The nose is off, R-12 freon reclaimed, anti-freeze drained radiator removed and the original 5 blade fan off. The radiator will go to the shop next week to either be re-cored or upgraded to a four-row style. The seven blade fan off my 1979 GMC Jimmy will go on the 325. The generator will come out this Friday so I can take it to the shop and have it re-newed. While it is out I will install the sound proofing blanket and clean up the compartment. The trailer hitch will be re-worked so I can tow the family car with a tow dolly. Other items on the list will be to install a new inverter 12 volt to 110 under the oven (to limit generator use when the kids want to watch TV while driving), repairing all the holding tank (foil tape sensors), installing the new cruise control and some interior cabinet repairs. All should be done by the end of March so I can start road testing and make sure that everything is ready for the get together at Pennwood. Most importantly will have the fire-suppression system fully operational for the next trip down the road. P.S. still looking for 3 or 4 Alcoa's
