Don't have a Dutch oven even though my parents emigrated from Holland, but I do have a Weber charcoal grille so I could do burgers and such to complement the chocolate treats.
And Lou, where is the form? I want to fill in the squares!

3 AS owner and haven't been to this forum! Wow! Thinking about attending the rally? We're up to 19 confirmed campers and we have room for 24 so be sure and let us know if you want to attend. No blue berets or anything.

Well, it's a non affiliated Airstream and Argosy rally. We so far have Argosy's, vintage units, brand new units and motorhomes signed up. We're missing Basecamps and Sprinter/B vans. It starts really on 4 AUG, but some of us are going up the night before just of the fun of it. We don't have many planned activities yet, but I intend for us to have a mixer/greeting session on Friday night, as the rest of the campers roll in, with beverages and finger foods (how does sweet corn and hot dogs sound, hot off the grill?). Saturday will be a full on pot luck, watch this space shortly for more details on that.

Go here, for more info on the rally. And ask away. Our very own ball-of-fire (Lou) has not been online this past week, but he usually talks a good game and will have plenty to say about the rally when he logs on.

Ok, I'm bringing mine, and I will make the chocolate caramel cake. I also made lasagna that rawked, but I only have one oven. Between that and chili, that's my whole use of the oven. There's a really good dutch oven site here, that has good recipes.

So, how about a bit of a dutchoven cookoff? I'm not really talking about a competition, but really just an excuse to get together and cook some stuff. Is there anyone else that has a DO and wants to join in the fun? Anyone up for biscuits, bread or a side dish.

Big Al, you pile on the burgers and I'll save a piece of chocolate cake for you!

John

Excellent! For those of you that cook with charcoal, if you haven't wandered thru the BBQ/grillin' aisle at Home Depot, you should, as they sell double twenty pound bags of Kingsford for like $10. A real steal.

Do we have any other Dutch Oven cooks out there?

Well, what's your specialty? I think that we should hear from everyone, as to their specialty, their favorite dish to cook while camping, the one that wows the crowd, etc...

Ok Everyone! Sound off, what's your specialty????

We will bring Sweet Potato Casserole and maybe a Pecan pie. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting new ones too.
