Junky fresh water fill hose

What's the best hose for a new fresh water fill? I purchased one & it leaks like a sieve on both ends when tightened with hose clamps. My dear husband has replaced all the plumbing in our new to us 1988 Avion 32S & this is the place where it decided to leak.....Any suggestions of a really good quality hose?Click image for larger version

There are 2 that work for me. First is a hose that is a spiral and springy and retracts neatly. It is not specific for potable water. The one I use most is a flat hose which is designed for potable water. When not under pressure it is flat like a fire hose and is very compact. I would also consider one of those self retracting hoses. For me if a hose was designed for potable water is not as important as that is only what it is used for. Our drinking water is filtered at the sink or bottled water and the water in the tank or from the city water supply is not used for drinking or cooking.

Becky, I'm no expert in this but it sounds like the hose you have is just not a good fit for your plumbing. I'd call a large Rv parts place and teell them what you are doing and maybe they might have the right bits for you. Good luck.
