fresh water tank fill hose leak

Looking for a simple fix. I have a crack in the flexible fill hose that connects to the fresh water tank. The leak is just above the metal strap that holds the hose to the tank. I can't disconnect the hose because the strap is barely accessible and the screw that tightens the strap is rusted and pointing in the wrong direction. I'm hoping for an easy fix --- maybe a waterproof tape, maybe cutting out the bad section. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Pat G

The screw posts on the hose clamps are usually also bolt shaped. You should be able to get a ratchet with socket on it and loosen it a little at a time. Push the hose down so it's under the clamp or try trimming a little bit and putting back on and retighten the hose clamp.

Cut the old rusty hose clamp off with a Dremel and cutting disk. Don't try to repair an old leaking hose. Replace the hose and use new stainless hose clamps.
Do it right and be done with it.
