Nick,

There are two parts involved. One is the ECM itself and the other is the Memcal.

For my Argosy I used a 1994 ECM with part number 16248378 and the Memcal was BYYC.

To get the Memcal info you might have to remove the cover from the ECM and read the Memcal number.

The ECM is the computer and the Memcal is the program that is ran by the ECM.

I found all of my parts on ebay.

Brad

I currently have the module side pigtail connector but not the mating connector that's normally on the main harness. If you want, I can try to find the mating connector and supply you with that but you'll still need to splice that into your harness.

I received your latest version and installed it! Works perfectly, thanks for all your effort.
Question: This module should also work for a carburetor setup, if you have a rear electrical fuel pump, right? A little wiring is all that is needed. The module itself does not depend on the ECM to function, it is pretty much stand alone. Or am i missing something?

Peter, with a carburetor setup on our coaches that have an electric pump, the pump is typically energized all the time. On a TBI the pump is energized for 2 seconds then is turned off until oil pressure is verified (i.e. engine is running).

I supposed technically you could install one of Julius's modules but all you would really need to do on a carbureted engine is leave the ignition switch on until it built up pressure.

Ok, I understand, however, a safe setup would be to tie the aftermarket rear electric fuel pump to the oil pressure switch. In that case the module would come in handy.
I believe the late 80's carbureted engines with the factory rear fuel pump have that safety feature, which must include a temp module? Anyone?

For what it's worth, I do now have a standalone module named the Brad Module that can be added to any harness. The module comes with a stock connector for those that don't have the modules box and have the stock TBI harness or just a three-wire pigtail. For the three-wire connection you just need to connect to +12V ignition, ground and an output to the fuel pump. I'll be sending out Brad's unit on Friday.

Just let me know if you need just the replacement board or a completely housed module.

I now have all the parts needed to produce everything form just the board to a complete module with both male and female harness connectors. The complete unit doesn't look stock but is fully functional. I'll post pics in a day or so.

I am enjoying the reliability of your units. Since I had to check the rear fuel filter frequently, my fuel shut off valve and your module let me do the job in minutes and pressurize the system in no time.
I am still amazed how little attention this module got over the years, until I had to deal with the consequences of a burnt out unit and had to trace the wiring to its hiding place.

Ya, pay $70 and have it fail the next day. Seen too many of the stock units in a very "crispy" condition.

My newest module is rated for 20 amps. Perfect if you have upgraded your fuel pump to a higher current unit or just have extra capacity in general.

Yeah, there are times when NOS is not necessarily a great thing. Old electronics are just that "old".

Thanks again for your work on this project!
