Final tested the module today in my motorhome. Output voltages were as follows:

Key turned to ON but engine not started. Several accessories were running including AC fan on high and air bag compressor so battery had significant load on it:
11.80V from Ignition and 11.79V to fuel pump.

Engine started and module providing power:
13.68V from Ignition and 13.67V to fuel pump.

Engine started and module relay turned off:
13.66V from Ignition and 13.66V to fuel pump.

These measurements were not done at the ODBI connector but made directly at the wires that the module plugs into. This gave me a complete picture of how much voltage was begin provided to the fuel pump both by the module and by the fuel pump relay. It also told me how much voltage loss I had through the relay. I was also able to check for any components that were getting hot. Specifically the relay while it was providing power to the fuel pump. No detected heating was noted. Time delay was 12 seconds with with jumper off (as pictured with red square thing at the top right next to the LED turned sidewise) and 20 seconds with jumper in place( Jumper shorting both pins).

On a side note, looks like my alternator is in good working order. Battery has sat for a few weeks and had a lot of initial load on it so that may account for the lower voltage with just ignition on.

Here are some pics of the module I tested:

Hey Julius, the module(s) arrived today and I installed the new one right away. I left the jumper off (12 secs) and gained 2 full volts (11.5) on port 460 .
Still not system voltage, but by far better than the ~9.5 I had before.
Thanks so much for taking on this challenge.

Good to hear. I left mine on the 12 second setting as well. 11.5V would be the suppled ignition voltage. A couple of tenths low but more than likely voltage loss through various connections along the way and load from the fuel pump itself. Pretty much what was expected. MUCH better than the 9.5V you originally had but also expected. The original design had over a volt of loss by design due to several semiconductor devices in series between the ignition source and the fuel pump voltage outlet.

Put me on the list for a new module as well.

I also have another project for you. The wiper control module on the Zephyr is not working. You said you wanted something to play with.

Right now it's no good to me so if you want to look at it, I can send you the unit to look at.

If you're still looking for a module, let me know. I have one assembled, tested and ready to go.

Julius, if you're building and selling the modules I'd like to buy one.

Thanks,

Brad

I did order another batch of three boards, so I will have a few ready in a couple weeks. I have one assembled now but I've been using it to test under adverse conditions (high voltage, low voltage and reverse voltage under various loads). Don't think it would be a good idea to sell that one to anyone since it's been heavily stressed. I'll let you know as soon as I get the new boards built up and ready for sale. Selling price would be $50 delivered to your door. Let me know if that would be acceptable.

Julius

Price works for me and no hurry on delivery either. Just let me know when you want some money.

Thanks for taking on this type of project, it's helps others keep their rigs on the road.

No money until I have a unit ready and tested for you. Thanks for helping others by supporting development of such items. Anything else that is needed and I'll see if I can fill that need.

I'll let you know as soon as I have it ready.

Where is this module in the vehicle? Is there a schematic that shows it?

The module is for fuel injected vehicles. Is yours fuel injected (i.e. TBI)?

Yep, only used on TBI equipped vehicles. If you have a carburetor, then you don have one.

I'll look at the cheapest cost of shipping from USA to UK. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Julius, little update on actual heavy duty usage. 200 miles in the last 2 days, 95F ambient temp. Many stops, restarts on a dime, hot or cold. Very happy that you tackled this!

Glad to hear that it's working well. I've had one in my RV for several weeks. A couple trips of around 50 miles and starts almost every day since. Everything is working as expected.
