Feet on floor - easy solution. Foot stool in front of the toilet. We found one supplied by a medical supply company. Believe it's posted here, but any wide step stool/platform that's about 4-6 inches high will work.

Or raise the floor? Not sure if your floor plan will permit, but in our FC20 this was a fairly simple fix.

[Rough draft prototype]

This "ablution solution" works for us.

Yeah. I guess I can build a box to go there and put some sheet flooring on it. Inelegant but...

I am about to upgrade a 2016 23FB FC to 15 inch Sendel wheels and GYE 225/75R/15 tires.

Just wanted to make one last query to the group before I purchase the tires to confirm that these tires will work and whether they require any trimming of the fenders.

Anyone with experience making this upgrade?

Thanks!

That link talks about your change. No problem with our '15, but a fella who did the change on a 23D had to trim a bit. We used the 235s and the 225s should have more clearance. Pat

Here’s what I did for the wifey. Made her happy and that’s what matters.

Thanks for the feedback. I had seen that discussion before. Just wanted to make sure no problems have arisen since the original post.

Our 2015 23D worked just fine with the 15" Michelin tires and SenDel wheels. The leading edge curb side was not cut to the same dimension as street side so a little trimming was necessary. We have about ⅜" clearance from the timed edge. Any bumps and the wheel moves both back and up due to the trailing arm suspension.

I changed over with exactly the same set up and there were no issues.

Right you are. How about DIY for about $10

I’ve always thought the brushed panel on the fridge looked, well... off a bit, color wise. Took it off and found out the protective film was still in place. Kind of hard to get it and the 8 year old adhesive off, but did and it looks better. It does have a small divot on it, that I didn’t do. My story stickin to it. That’s all I have to report from way-too-hot-north-FL today. Oh, other than I’m ditching the Wingman antenna to add another solar panel. Looking at something with WiFi extender and possible cellular router all-in-one. To put either up front center or on top of the a/c shroud.

I believe those cover the end of the hinges for the cabinet doors. I put them back on, but I don't know if they actually have any benefit.

If they go on the part of the hinge furthest from the door itself, they help keep the hinge parts from separating under heavy vibration whilst traveling.

Aha. Maybe that’s why my hinges are failing.

I removed the crank up antenna. This is a DIY aluminum plate and entry port w/cable glands to replace the old base. One cable will feed the OTA antenna; the other is for a cell booster cable. That will be located just behind the rear vent cover. The new 360 antenna behind that and over the existing radio antenna hole. Two solar panels are being added, one sideways behind a/c the other behind that down the curb side.

What exactly is the point of the 1000w inverter? I ran a 680w coffee maker for one pot and watched my battery drain very rapidly. I should have done the math first, obviously 680w is gonna pull 65a or so. So beyond vacuuming the floor and watching tv (which we don’t do) I can’t see a reason to have it. 1000w is way more than the batteries can support.

This is really a great idea. Did you use an 8020 vendor, or did you purchase direct?

Making coffee with electricity when the propane tanks can heat many gallons of water with ease?
