If you search the two 23 threads, you will see an addition of a cabinet over the counter next to the toilet. Not a mod that I considered, but others have had the same comment and concern as you express.
We simply used toiletry travel bags that were purchased from LL Bean. Unzip, use, re-zip and store in your personal drawer under the small hanging closet until needed again. Pat

I remember someone adding a cabinet on the right side, but I cannot recall where I saw it. May take some extensive searching unless the owner re-posts it.

I too have thought about a cabinet for the bathroom. At one point I hung a portion of a shoe holder... the cloth thing with multiple pockets... color, light gray... it worked, but looked tacky so I took it down.
I bet if the cabinet was fitted to the curved surface with extra care, double sided 3M tape would work. In fact, probably just strips under the cabinet on the formica surface would hold it in place. My guess is to use #4941, although 3M numbers confuse me.
The last thing I would use is pure silicone sealant. No way to ever get that stuff off without serious damage to the aluminum finish.

We bought a small medicine cabinet at IKEA. It is white with a mirrored door. We mounted it to the left above the sink. Holds a fair amount, and when the door is open, makes for a much better mirror than the mirror on an arm that came with our 2011 23FB. I don’t have a pic any longer. Sorry about that.

Viking1,
Search on Amazon for “Hasko”. This company makes many assorted suction cup accessories perfect for the aluminum and fiberglass walls in our AS.
Also search for “Greenco” for over the door clothing hangers.

Look at 2:20 on this video. Stacy is telling folks about an adhesive that is quite strong, but removable. Check it out.

My husband created a small cabinet from the corner of the Queen bed after he removed it to do a twin bed conversion.

Do you have a picture of the twin bed conversion? Wanted twin beds but wasn’t available in the 23FB.

Absolutely amazing; beautiful craftsmanship. Is he a finish carpenter? Love the dinette table. The dinette area looks different. Were there modifications done to it?

Thank you. Hubby is a hobby woodworker and jack of all trades sort of guy. The only thing we did in the dinette area is make a new smaller tabletop 27" x 21.5" so that it just fits withing the cushions when lowered and can still be used as a bed. I purchased the moose print and glued it to the top and poured epoxy/resin over it. I just come up with the ideas, he just executes. LOL. I have an affinity for Alaska, hence the moose and Northern Lights theme.

Thanks SimRunner, I had actually bookmarked all these conversion links plus a few more which to both gleam ideas and convince hubby he could do the conversion : ) This forum is a wealth of information.

Converting the 23 FB Queen to Twin Beds
Another source of information, now that Airstream has a twin bed option for the Globetrotter 23 FB, is the Globetrotter Parts Book. It’s available on the Airstream website https://www.airstream.com/owners/manuals/. The parts book includes assembly type drawers of the 23 FB twin bed furniture with dimensions of each part.

Twin Bed (1) and a Desk Conversion
Has anybody seen a 23FB conversion from the Queen bed to ONE twin bed and a desk (instead of the second twin bed)? I work remotely from my trailer and the dinette table and those seriously uncomfortable seat cushions are just not working.

I haven't see that done with 23FB other than someone may have converted their dinette area into a counter/desk. There are certain models of older Airstream 22's that have a single bed on the street side and a desk in the opposite corner and with full size wardrobe cabinet. Perhaps search on that model for images and ideas.
