There were 5 trailers on the site that were different including a 175K Wine Bar that would likely make you the most popular person at your next rally. Posted a thread with links to all 5:

I think I could turn mine into the same basic thing for a lot less, but would feel bad about hacking into a brand new trailer!

Where do you store the cushions that are placed on the table top when you make it into a bed. Those cushions seem to be extra cushions for sleeping.

KJ- the extra cushions can go along the perimeter/next to the metal walls. Keeps you better insulated against touching cold wall at night.

I also thought that the MSRPs on those custom conversions were a little pricey for what you get. I would think that I could hire an expert cabinet maker and a really good upholstery person and complete a conversion like that, or nicer, for under $5,000.

Uh, could you elaborate? I've only been pushing that little red button, too...is there something else to push?

The little red push button turns on and off the fan. You also need to push up the plastic handle across the fan enclosure. That opens the vent top to allow the steam to be pulled outside. Not pushing the handle up to open the vent to the outside renders the fan useless even if it is turned on and running.

With that little exhaust fan open and operating in the shower, you won't see a bunch of condensation all over the ceiling when you are showering, especially in the colder weather.

I just saw this posting and called my sales rep. from Airstream Adventures, CA. He said the cushion's are stored in closet on 25' model they have. He pointed out that you can have these plans pretty much customized at their site in WA area so you could for instance, have a cupboard next to the drawers to store the cushions...see the posting of the 27' model below; their could be a door perhaps instead of an opening as a desk like is shown in the picture. I guess you can pretty much get what you want...only around $15K~?? But pretty nice, indeed! Wife and I love it!

Brian,
When you put floor tiles under twin mattress did you secure them or just cut to size?

I secured the pieces of flooring with about three screws to keep it from shifting.

I doubt the thin (and I really mean thin sheet vinyl) would not tear when pulled up. When I looked up vinyl flooring I found the thinest vinyl sheeting wasn't as thin as the kind Airstream uses—I wonder where they get it? When we put down a new, better floor, we were really, really happy with the improvement.
Preventative maintenance is good in sealing the subfloor. Water can get under the vinyl and cause unseen problems. Better to seal the subfloor so any damage is limited. Common places for water problems are under windows, by the door and on the other side of the awning parts screwed to the body. That is just about everywhere. As for the edges, I thought of thinning sealant with lots of paint thinner and letting it drip down there, but I don't think it would do much good. You could caulk at the junction of the wall and the subfloor, but that would trap water running behind the wall and is a bad idea. The only way to seal the edge is to pull out the subfloor, but that is going too far.
So far as I know the factory does not seal the edge unless they've started in the past few years. If you do seal the top, use exterior sealant. I used exterior spar urethane.

Moosetags - saw your hookups with the coiled water hoses - what brand of drinking water safe do you use for the city water hookup and have you had any problems with it? Thanks

Plastair makes these springhose drinking water hoses. I have two of them, a 25' and a 50'. They are available on Amazon Prime for $16.99 and $30.43, respectively.
I have had the 25' hose for 8 years and the 50' for about 4 years. I have never had any problem with either one. I also use brass quick-connects for all my water hoses.

One more question Moosetags - do you use 3/8" or 1/2" hose. Thanks again.

The curly hoses that we have seen are in the 3/8" size. I have not seen one in a 1/2" size.

Amazon has the 3/8 and 1/2. As long as your doing okay pressure wise with the 3/8, they are a little cheaper.
