I just ordered a set for our Cloud. The cheap plastic ones on our trailer spin and half the set screws can't tighten because they are broken. Can't wait to put these on!

Over priced junk. A bit of silicon spray on the gasket will not only prevent sticking it will also help protect the gasket.

Bold, audio or video editing setup? Which LG monitor?
|
Web Dev - with amateur video/photo.
So orginally I was eyeing 3 monitors hard. 28" 4K Asus and the 29" Asus and LG 29" Ultrawide.
Measurement wise, all of these would fit. But I stumbled onto the LG 25UM57-P Ultrawide and noticed the power consumption. ENERGY STAR Certified Displays | EPA ENERGY STAR
19.14 watts, which blew everything else I was looking out of the water. Even picked up a 12v adapter.
So this monitor is technically as wide as a 27 inch monitor but not as tall. Resolution is ok, not amazing. But it's also an IPS panel so it has TFT panels beat. Perfect all around boondocking monitor for my workflow.
I used to work on two 27 inch thunderbolt displays, this kind of simulates that on a smaller scale.
If anyone was wondering about my color key'd keyboard it's a custom mechanical keyboard from WASD keyboards.

But they are shiney. Airstream bling. I do not have those type of windows, but if I did I would get them. I have Black plastic knobs that are twisted opened and closed. Ditto on the silicon spray. My were getting sticky. Gave them all a wipe down with silicon, now opening is smooth and easy.

Glad you don't have the problem. Silicon spray did not work for us over several years of using it. Window poppers do, and we didn't consider them costly.

Our solution has been to keep using 303 Aerospace Protectant on the gaskets and to wait a few minutes after releasing the associated window latches before opening a window. Patience seems to allow the gaskets to relax their grip on the window, and we can then easily open it.

Protectant 303 is a good product. If you don't use something like this there is a good chance pushing them out hard will cause some of the window gasket material to tear loose and come loose with the glass.

303
Yup, 303 is what I have been using on my window gaskets. And, I think it does work, and the idea of allowing the gasket to "relax" after releasing the clamps, this I like. Also, a thin piece of plastic or wood, finally shaven can be used as a gentle lever from the outside, if one does not have the Window Poppers.

Hey Tadashi - this little washer looks great! But where did you get it? On their website it says that they won't ship until Mid 2016.
Thanks!

New latch for interior heater door courtesy of Atwood. Flimsy little plastic thing. Surprised more do not break.

Looked that the one's you mentioned, but I picked the Dell P2715Q. Very impressed with the resolution for my photos. My new Mac Pro supports 4K and Thunderbolt. Kept watching the price and waited for about 3 months and then pulled the trigger. Got a great price. Like your setup. Want to take my Mac Mini and get it set up to run via 12v and load multi-media (movies/music) onto it to take on trips.

See I really liked the higher resolutions offered by the 4K displays. But I get that with my retina display on the Macbook, and since coding only on the larger display, I opted for the better power consumption. The 4K's are wattage hogs.
But you made a good choice, that Dell is nice.

We had these around the house:
Which are hard foam and look like this:
And we made a new place to hold the awning rod while camped. (But not when towing!):
For us, this is a little more convenient than storing in the bumper or other storage area.
