Some hail damage-
I counted 17 dings on the rear end cap- there may be more.
After talking to my insurance company and Randy Mcneeley at Airstream I think I will just live with it.Click image for larger version

Sure hate to hear that but with the weather you are having, I'm just thankful you are safe.

The hailstones were roughly nickel sized.

Armor All Wash and Wax. Any car wash soap will do.
TV antenna. We get 8 channels. CBS, NBC, Fox, and PBS.
2 roof airs and a MaxxAir cover on the Fantastic fan.
m.hony,
I was thinking about the MaxxAir vent covers like the ones you installed and I'm wondering how much they increase the over height of the trailer. Currently our AS has a total height of 9' 7". I need to restrict the over clearance height to under 10'.
Thanks

It's more money, but I'd go for a MaxxAir fan. I put one in and love it. It isn't as tall as cover.

LOL just picked that up at our local RV service shop to start keeping a log. They had a smaller index card sized one as well, but I liked all the space for notes in this one. Also planned to make a scrap book at Shutterfly of our trips. I was thinking a 8x8 album for each trip.

It doesn't increase the height at all. It is no higher than the a/c units.

An Anti-gravity Machine?

Had the bikes for several years and they are even the right color! Got a Reese/Drawtite front hitch, and a Hollywood HR1000 2 bike rack. I plan to use the front hitch when parking the trailer in my driveway to have better control.

The photo looks fine on my iPad. Moderator? I went in and rotated the picture so it was upside down on my iPad but the new upload is still upside down???

Fixed that for you. DKB_SATX

There is a local company that goes around to car dealers and pulls dents out of vehicles after hailstorms.. The name of the company is DentMender, and they say that the dent must be smaller than a quarter. I would ask a local car dealer who they use, as I'm sure they have someone lined up for this. I have contacted them myself twice now and had great success. I see no reason why they couldn't pop the dent out of a Silver Trailer!

I used one of these services years ago. A walnut in the big green husk fell from a teee onto the roof of a aluminum bodied Range Rover. it left a whipper of a dent,,,, like a grapefruit size dent! my insurance was prepared for a $13000 roof segment replacement. 25 years later, I still remember the day, but cant see the dent. These guys are magicians! The only drawback is that they need access to the back side of the oops.
best if luck!

Does it interfere with the current fan with the rain sensor or do you just put it over the bathroom vent?

It is over the Fantastic fan with the rain sensor. It does not interfere with the fan operation, but most likely no rain will ever hit the rain sensor.

I always sleep terribly in the AS but it never ruins my trip. Today I bought a memory foam mattress topper and a new coffee maker. I'm not sure if I like memory foam, but I'm also not sure that I DON'T like it.
In case I still sleep poorly, we have the coffee maker.

Cheers!

:-)

What kind/size topper? Did you have to cut the corners?

Thanks!

Which is the big problem with Fantastic fans. On a rainy day when you need ventilation, it shuts down. Even heavy dew will shut it down.
