Didn't get it today, but....

A wall mount for the TV to clear the countertop to make room for the Art Deco bar that DW got me for an anniversary present. Now to fill the decanters.

I wish I knew how to stop ipad from rotating pictures.....

Downsize the image size and they will post in they proper orientation. I always do a post preview after uploading images to see which ones need to loose a few MB of electronic weight.

I've had this in my Avion for a little while, but it's my first time out with it installed:

Had the gaucho reupholstered by my friend Dave. My heart is still Airstream, but I love my Avion too!

My wife bought something for the Argosy. A little tacky, but it seems to go with the trailer. I like our little gnome.

Bearings, races and seals. Went to repack the bearings and found pitted rollers and metal flakes in the mineral spirits after washing the bearings. Three colors of grease in the hub, brown, red, and blue. Someone was just stuffing grease in there and not cleaning them out first.

A visit to the Airstream factory! We had about half a dozen warranty items attended too along with having the factory install our wireless voyager camera.
Outstanding service, amazing detailed attention to our concerns. This affirmed that we made the right buying decision.
We couldn't have been treated any better. Bonus was meeting some new airstreamer friends, Diane and Phil from Va, Great people!
Double bonus was running into the President of the company during lunch and having him pick up our tab. Above and beyond expectations.
Airstream just earned a lifelong "raving fan" for life, riveted.

Good to hear a good report.
We have a service center appointment September 16 to get all warranty issues dealt with before the warranty goes out in October.

Exclamation Check your batteries...today

4 new deep cycle Interstate RV batteries
The digital temperature gauge was reading 192 degrees when I found a boiling battery last night. I have a total of 4 batteries, since I have a solar panel on the roof and a converter. Not sure if that one battery messed up two other ones or if it just was time for them to fail after 7 years.
Everyone talks about age of tires, I think age of batteries is equality important and dangerous.
I am so glad I checked ... Aluminum and battery acid do not mix

7 years is a pretty good performance period for lead acid batts, IMO

For sure, time just has a way of slipping away...
Here are some of Batteries checks to perform:
1. Water level ( use distilled water only to top)
2. signs of "bulging"
3. signs of boiling
4. Temperature
5. excessive smell of sulfuric acid
6. voltage of each battery individually
7. Date imprinted on top of most batteries
8. signs of acid corrosion around your battery compartment
and whilst you at it, make sure you have a three stage converter that is functioning properly.

The above maintenance may keep you from making a new post in this thread....

Saw this on some page but can't remember which one, but I felt the need to get one for myself.

Looks like I've got a couple of bubbles to work out!

What did you get for your Trailer today?

Mattress mold prevention for the winter!

We Insulated the bed platform in our International Signature 27FB with a layer of Reflectix (with plans to add a second layer) and then ventilated the mattress with a layer of Hypervent. We protected the Reflectix from the somewhat spiky Hypervent via an old twin-sized flannel sheet. which was exactly the right size when laid out flat on the Reflectix. (Hypervent instructions say to put the product poky side down and fabric side up, so that's why we did his. The Hypervent fabric side is up against the bottom of the mattress.

We used double-sided carpet tape to stick the Reflectix to the plywood, running the tape in such a way that it did not cover any screws - in case we ever have to take the thing apart. We separated the two pieces of Reflectix at the hinge where the bed platform folds when you open it up. This ensures we don't interfere with the platform's ability to bend at the hinge. When we add a second layer of Reflectix we probably won't bother with the hinge space for that layer since we already left a handy space for the hinge in the first layer.

We're also toying with the idea of insulating the top of the storage compartment (the underside of the bed platform) with a piece of Reflectix taped to the ceiling of the storage compartment with that double-sided carpet tape.

So far, so good!

It also seems that with these extra layers, the mattress may be more comfortable than before. Woot!
