Airstreams & Harleys

Hey Deitz345,

It is always amazing how Airstreams and Harleys go together - American Classics...

Your ride looks nice - think you have the same pipes I have...

That's about the only drawback to the Morris Meadows campground is they do not allow any motorcycles of any sort inside the campground so if I ride up there I have to leave the bike at the office and walk in... But that does make for more peace and quiet with no motorcycles inside campground. They do allow electric golfcarts though but I don't have one...

Anyway, see ya on the road sometime.

regards, Dave

Yep, Screamin' Eagle low restriction pipes with the fish tail tips. It is the 100th anniversary Ultra Classic. I started with an 883 Sportster, then a low rider convertible, then a 90th anniversary Ultra, and finally the 100th anniversary Ultra. So I should be good until 2013. Then I want to get an Ultra with a side car so I can take the grandson touring .

Not us! Nope, We're going to be mowing, planting, triming, more excitement
than I can almost handle...

We took our Memorial Day weekend trip last week and avoided the crowds. Weather was alot more accomodating, too.

Everybody be careful out there on the road and show them Airstreams off!

We're going to the lake property to work on the slab for our new storage building and clean out the footers for the house so we can order cement and pour, when we get time off. Ah the weed eater and the mower again this week- end. Will the fun never stop?

Heading down to my basement shop to build new kitchen cabinets for my wife. I don't go anywhere in the Colorado Mtns on 3 day weekends just to spend time with 10,000 of my newest closest friends.

We are going to Jackson Center, OH to pick up the airstream. I drove from NH to OH last weekend to drop off the airstream. It need some body work. My DW backed into the airstream last fall and dented the right rear segment. Sigh. We go there this weekend to pick it up. It only cost $500. The deductible with state farm.

This is not the way one should spend a great weekend.

Going to the High Mesa north of Taos for a week of hanging out...sometimes the benefit of sanity outweighs the cost of gasoline.

We skipped out a weekend early, just got back this afternoon from Bennett Springs SP here in Missouri. A short drive gives days of trout fishing in a beautiful setting. We were glad to escape the crowded highways of the big upcoming weekend and of course, the campground was lots quieter than it will be beginning tomorrow. Best of all, we hit the four prettiest days we've had yet this spring in Missouri, 70's-80's, sunny skies and big moon, lush greenery following our rain-out's been a long time coming, but these four days were worth the wait! Huge allergy issues with high pollen counts...ahchoo! ~G

Ambie '64, I'll be in the same area except at the Red River, NM Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally. Expect around 20k to 30k motorcycles in the area. Every town around including Taos will be packed. Honk if you see me - oh I forgot - I'll look like the other 30 thousand bikers.

Being retired, we'll stay close to home and then head out later in the week. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day - but don't forget to give thanks for the guys and gals who made it all possible.

Hog-I, I'll be looking for you somewhere around the Paseo...I look like darn near every one of those Prisoners of the Sixties, but will probably be having lunch with Rumsfeld...if he'd ever RSVP! Forget about Julia Roberts..she chews with her mouth open. If I needed to view an Arugula processor in action, I'd fake an SSN and move to Ca.

(somewhere in this post it's important to place one of those smiley icons, but my click and move seems to be on the fritz)

Certainly NOT anyone with an AS or derivative of same. I was talking about those that insist on drinking while driving/driving while sleeping/talking to others or on their phone or messaging/running late, etc... We all know who they are. It is simply a rule we started with when we first married - We'll stay off the roads on holidays and for 42 years we've stuck to the rule. Would we go someplace if something came up? Definitley - it's not a religious decision and can be easily changed. I certainly hope all have a great time over the Memorial Day holiday!
