Must have been a scam as the ad is gone.
Craigslist is just full of them.
Cheers

It's been sitting for 17 years....
Reminds me a bit of my unit. I purchased for $9100usd. I'd say it would need much of the same as I had to put into the front end, also the tires, brakes etc.
Expect to spend $5000 right away to get it on the road

Was out in Chesapeake VA yesterday and saw a farm with 2 neglected Airstreams
A 310 or 345 moho under a tattered tarp and a large Excella from late 80s growing green mold.
Willing to go back and see if owner is ready to unload.

370 question
Owning a 350LE which struggles with 16,000 lb plus behind the 454, I can only wonder in sheer amazement that the already overtaxed power-plant can pull another 20 feet if indeed that is what the difference is between a 350 and a 370?
Although the 370's were on a Gillig bus chassis, could the Ford 460 engine really provide that much more hp to drag her along? what am I missing here?

The available engine power has to be iffy.
The nominal difference in length between the 350 and 370 is 2 feet, so not as bad as 20 feet. Still more weight though.
I have a Ford 460 in a 1985 F350 and it is a beast of an engine (in a mostly good way). Given that we are all spoiled by modern fuel management, the Ford 4180 (Holley) is a frustrating and ridiculous contraption to deal with. The ERG setup is also a poorly designed pain in the neck (in California, these items must remain and work correctly). The 460 pulls around the F350 with a big Utility Bed OK, though it is certainly no speed demon.
When the 370 in Idaho showed up, the hope was that the 460 might have fuel injection. All evidence points to that not being the case. Later F-Series pickups have the fuel injection for the 460's, and are a much better drive.
Your 350 looks really great, by the way.
Tom

Having both a 325LE with a 454, and. 370LE with the 460, they both perform well. I tow a Chevy Volt behind both on a dolly....no problem with the exception of large hills on secondary roads. Although a diesel conversion is planned for the 370LE, I don't plan on beating on it just to make it up the hills any faster. I had my doubts about the 460 but they were proven wrong after a few trips.....the brakes on the other hand are questionable although I have yet to get the tag axle brakes working on either motor home...Regards, Bob

Ummm, the fact that the size difference between a 350 and a 370 or 35' versus 37' is only two feet, not twenty.
A 55' Airstream would be something to see; especially if all twenty feet was just added on to the back; going up hill would be a challenge to say the least.
I know, I know; brain fart; I have them all the time.
Cheers
Tony

Gotta say that I've always been surprised by how perky my 370 feels considering its size.
Although he didn't mention it, Bob did a little research on the 460 motors used in the Gillig chassis, and found that Ford built them specifically for use in vehicles with GVW above 16000 pounds. That has always been a comforting thought for me.
Also, I have read that this chassis was designed primarily for urban bus use, and frequent stop and go conditions. It was literally geared low to enable it to accelerate briskly back into traffic. It's my impression that it is engine temperature rise at higher rpm, rather than lack of raw power, that keeps me under 70mph. I hope to find out what a Gear Vendors overdrive might do to change that.
