Carla, check back a few post ( tab 26). I posted the build of that. Here is what the finish product looks like. On top of it I placed a 2" memory foam pad. Worked great. I will be making another one because we will kick out our kids and have them use those and we will take the bed... Mara was not too happy sleeping with the two of them as my son moves and takes over the bed... he will get kicked out to the front seat bed. I do want to wait to see what Airstream is coming out with before making the second one. Plus if the second rear passenger seat does not turn all the way like the one on the driver side, it will be difficult to place it there... will see...
Wish I had taken a photo of it during use...

[QUOTE=wachuko;2053085]I big thank you to all of you that contributed to this threads and the many answered questions and recommendations.
Also met sthrngary. Got to see his AI and picked up another modification that I will do here shortly. The mesh for the exhaust ports for the heater, to avoid mudbugs doing damage to it... good restaurant recommendations (for next time we visit) and just some fun talking to him and getting reprimanded like school kids for talking too loud when the Ranger was giving her speech... oops!
Here's another mud daubber trick: Wrap a cat flea color around something inside the water heater compartment. This will keep the daubbers out of there.
For the screen for the heater exhaust, I took a length of clear poly tubing (3/8") slit it along it's length and fit it over the edge of the screen to prevent metal to paint contact with the side of your expensive rv.

humm... oh carp... that is the one that I saw on Gary's AI... but when I read of the paint concerns I decided to order the round ones... did not think about placing some silicone tubing around it like you suggested to avoid paint scratches... Do I need to return these or can they also work?

Started a separate thread on a leveling system. When I was under the AI with Protagonist, we could see that there is some open area to install something... just need to figure out what system to go with...

I have no idea if those will work. I have had the rectangular one on my coach for almost 4 years with no issues. We also put one on on my friends AI.

They are not that expensive. Will give them a try and order the rectangular version if they do not work out.

Also ordering the SumoSprings for the font...

Did a bit of research in other forums (only found one reference here where they mentioned part number). Seems that 500 lbs is the one to go with. Ordering now. Seem to be easy to install without even having to remove the tire...

The other thing I want to do right away is to remove the clips that avoid using the visors. Hated not being able to move them to block the side window as I still have not installed the window film

The front Sumos are easy to install... just unscrew the OEM bumpstop and screw in the Sumos. If you decide to get the rear ones, they are a different story. Not technically difficult but frustrating due to stiffness of the rubber Sumo and awkward access (and 10,000 lbs perched above you). Be very careful if you decide to jack up the rear duals and crawl underneath to install (use multiple jack stands). I strongly recommend paying someone else to do the rears.

Air ride suspension in the back. I do not believe those can be use with air ride. So only doing fronts based on good feedback from those that have done them.

Yep, forgot that you are one of the lucky ones that ride on a cushion of air. I'm jealous!

Check before doing that. I have a 2014 and the visors would be in front of the side air bags if moved. That could be ugly if you had an accident.

My question, exactly. With 4 people and dumping frequently, the stuff would not even have time to do anything. I would use absolutely nothing.
I use nothing unless the contents have to stay in the tank for a while (like when I use the facilities when in the storage yard).
Even then, with the very small black tank in the AI, all it takes is a fraction of what you would add in a 40+ gallon tank in a trailer or larger motorhome. I put in about 1/4 of the suggested dose.

Because I am new and clueless of what I should be doing.
I would pour Rid-X after every dump of the black tank because that is what the instructions said... of course, there is no reference for frequency in the instructions that I could have taken into account...

For this first trip I pulled the dash cam from my car and installed it on the AI. Worked like a charm. So ordering another one to keep it as a dedicated unit in the AI.
Nothing too fancy, but it has worked great in my car with clear recordings.
ROAV Dash Cam C1 and a 64GB memory card

Worse is to have an accident because I am blinded by the sun
There were moments, that even with my sun glasses, it would had been great to block the sun from the side window...
I just need to get the window film installed... that might avoid having to remove the clips on the visors.
