Reading The Lord of the Rings for the third time... Last time was when the movies came out, just to compare. And it struck me that if Gollum cared for that ring HALF as much as I care for The LoveStream (tm), he'd have killed Frodo very early on, and the book would have been much shorter...

Veni vidi vici. Shortest book ever. Unfortunately not a best seller either.

Not a best seller because he didn't finish it. It should have said, "I came, I saw, I conquered, I went back to the Shire and moved back into my Hobbit hole..." See how much more complete that feels?
-Red, finishing quotes the right way...

Why buy the book when you've already read it? Once you know the ending, you no longer need to read the book. Sheer genius!

Fortunately, my memory is as short as my... thumb. I can read the same book over and over, and it's like new every time. Same goes for movies, and people I meet...
-Red, incredibly short memory...

Ahh, yes, I've been meaning to talk to you about that, Red. It seems that you have forgotten about that $500 you borrowed from me last year.

Not a best seller, perhaps, but remembered for millennia. Not so bad.

I just re-read my entire rebuild thread. Man, that guy was really working. I had totally forgotten a lot of that stuff, like that I fixed a cracked gray tank neck... Read a lot of ideas that I had originally that fell by the wayside when the build actually went down. I actually am more satisfied with how everything is going than I thought I would be...
-Red, glad he doesn't have to start over right now...

I love reading the build threads and looking at the pictures. I also love that I'm not doing one myself.

I'm just happy I get to camp now instead of just working on it. I'm going out to some training in Pensacola at the beginning of March, and I'm taking my Stream instead of staying in a hotel. It still needs a lot of little stuff, but the major is done...
-Red, camping not working...

I love camping. Maybe it's more that I love camping the way I like to do it.
I wake up in the morning to a hot cup of coffee. While I drink that, DW is busy making breakfast.
After that I move outside to my favorite Zip Dee chair. There I sit with a drink in one hand and a cigar in the other, watching the world go bye.
I can do that same thing pretty much all day. Time outs for more meals, and to build a fire, and there you have my day. I love camping.

To change it up so you don't get bored, You get breakfast ready while DW is sitting outside, having a coffee, watching the day began---- 😎

Yes, now and then I do get breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, but not the way you think. I'm not allowed to touch anything in the kitchen except the coffee pot. So, for me to make a meal, I have to take DW out for it, which happens quite often.

An electric coffee maker works fine for instant oatmeal. Substitute that product for the coffee in the filter basket. (gotcha)

You know, you just have to love a forum where they discuss the best ways to make coffee, and how to make good toast... people get all into their favorite type of toast. Just makes me smile!
-Red, commenting in both threads...

No, Bob, you don't put Katsup on the Frog toast. You're supposed to put the sugar seerup on the Frog toast. Tha Katsup is for the hushpuppies.
(Red, we gotta edjicate these kids or they'll never grow up right.)
