Has anyone washed the Globetrotter bedding?

We have a Globetrotter 2020 23 FBT and would like to wash the bed covers. We just noticed that they are dry clean only! Has anyone tried washing them at home? If yes, was it successful?

Thanks for the reply. I thought it might be pricey. We have a dog who sheds and gets on the beds. I'd really love to get them in the washing machine. I'm hoping there is a brave soul who has tried it!

We also have a Lab who sheds her hair on everything and gets on the beds. We solved the problem of having to dry clean the twin bedspreads by replacing them with Woolrich cotton quilts in a kind of a country plaid pattern. The can be machine washed, are easier to manage when making the beds and add some color to the interior.

I’ve got an International Serenity but all the factory bedding and pillow cases were the same: dry clean only.

They’re still sitting in the box they came in, waiting patiently in my storage unit for the day someone wants to buy them.

Nothing with a “dry clean only” tag has any right to be in a trailer.

Yes I have washed them multiple times. DO NOT put them in the dryer! I did and the batting on the inside shrunk. Luckily I sew and so I took them completely apart and put new batting in them. Very time consuming. Now I wash them in the washing machine and let them dry naturally. Doesn’t take that long to dry actually. We have a dog also and I was not going to pay that much for dry cleaning for the frequency we would need them washed. My feeling was that it needed cleaning and was worth the chance.

Thank you for the tip about the dryer! We will go ahead and wash ours and I'll post an update on the result.

Like “WoodGrain”, I washed the queen-size bed cover from my 2018 International Serenity in a large conventional washer with good results.
I let it air dry too and I noticed a slight puffiness at the perimeter seam, but that has nearly gone away with time and normal use.

UPDATE: I washed the twin bed covers separately in our home front load washing machine using Tide detergent on warm wash, cold rinse. I dried them on delicate low heat for 5 minutes, just to fluff them a bit. They finished air drying quickly. My assessment is that they washed perfectly and dried wrinkle free. I assume the bedding is basically the same in the Globetrotter decors, but in case anyone is curious, we have the natural elm / London gray interior. Thanks to all who provided input!

We saw the bedspread dry clean markings and immediately folded it up and put it away. (Okay, WHY would you supply this for a trailer??)

Our Golden/Aussie mix loves the top of the bed. Years ago for a different trailer, we got a set of "National Park" linens, and that's what she's 'denning' underneath.
