I sent my trailer to Jimmy Cates at Twistedsilver.net he is responsible for the entire restoration. You can look at the 1948 Nolen link on his page to look at the progress.
I had an excellent frame on my project...otherwise, I would have checked this out. If you go the frame route...check him out.
built new frame, got body back on,new windshields,3 new dc ceiing lights wired in,new liner inside and new belly pan,new interior paint.deoxidized rear top sections (shined right up) alas i ran out of time and had to sell. sold to young guy from knoxville and am confident he will finish. the worst is all done!! and for the first time in a long long time i don't have an airstream title in my file box,so am looking for another project. wife says has to be big enough to have a bathroom.(: happy trails.
Its not about which VIN's have been claimed. Its about what number yours was issued at the factory when completed. If your ID tag is missing, there may be another place it was stamped although I'm not all that familiar with the WeeWind's. Check the frame in front of the shell or the bumper. Sometimes the factory workers wrote on the back of the interior wood pieces before attaching them.
Good luck

Thanks, I plan on removing the paint from the frame in hopes of finding it . by claimed, I meant a list of owners attached to the currently known wee Wind serial numbers.
