Let's Snoop Inside Those Cupboards!
To begin.....the cupboard above the FAN's sink looks fairly neat and tidy. My long-term plan is to full-time, but in the meantime, am travelling fairly light.
This cupboard is mainly delegated to drinkware and mugs. All the glasses are acrylic. The big wine glasses at the back can be used for various beverages; I drink more iced tea than wine. The far right side is out of camera range, but I have some acrylic tumblers there too. The two flamingo martin glasses in front - well, I don't drink martinis - but thought they would be cute for desserts/shrimp cocktails etc.
The male-female ceramic mugs sit in a tray with recessed holes. Everything stays in its place during transit. Matter of fact, I was surprised how well they did.
The non-drinkware stuff consists of those metal cheese knives that fit perfectly into that slot at the back of the cabinet. I don't think Airstream purposefully designed it as a knife holder - was something that just works really well - accidentally. There are a couple of small metal trays in front of that.
I am sure you are all discovering that in the process of fitting-out a trailer, you become the mother of invention, compromise, conversion, and dual purpose!

All you'll see in ours is the bubble-wrap.

Hi Skatiero! Where the cabinet meets the AS shell, there is a little space/slot. I can't really take a photo - you wouldn't see it that well. I don't know if this space exists in a '89 Excella, but the Airstreams with a non-lined interior should have it.
I found the mugs at Safeway. Love at first sight too!

Love the colors in the photo! Really eye-catching: black and white with the layered bright colors on top: great!

Towed Haul is coming out of hibernation on Wednesday and one of the first jobs will be to re-equip her with her "stuff". We took way too much stuff with us during our first year, with so much that we didn't ever touch, so things will be a little more sparse this time around. When we're all sorted out I'll have Mrs T take some photographs for you all.
We were quite surprised that we didn't get much movement in any of the cupboards last year. I like to think it was because of our Minivan TV, our superior hitch rigging and my expert driving. More likely the cupboards were so jam packed full that nothing COULD move! :~)

I'm curious about this tray. How deep are the recesses that keep the mugs from jumping around during transit? Are the acrylic glasses in recessed holes as well?

Wow! What neatness!
I'm with the Toads on this one, however. My cupboards are just stuffed with this and that and gifts from well meaning friends and such that nothing can move ... at least until the fateful door opening! There is one singular advantage to this system, however; anything I'm looking for is much easier to get at once it lands on me or on the floor!
