First Blog post here for a while.
I've read with great interest the ups and downs experienced by the Andersen Weight Distribution System users. Their solutions to the issues that have arisen have been as novel and practical as the Andersen itself; this is truly a resourceful group.
What made me smile, though, was the dogged defence of the system mounted by some users when faced with a bit of criticism. Things tended to get a little out of shape and some personal comments...

Us folks up north are coming to the end of our camping season; the campsites are closing and the local City council says we have to get our Airstream off our driveway at the end of the month. We are sad.
For our first season, though, we've had a good time, registering a little over 9,000 Km (5,600 miles) and some 43 nights, which isn't too shabby for family tied to school holidays.
We started as complete greenhorns, never having towed anything before, let alone an Airstream,...

The Toads are just back from a Grand Tour of the Southern US. 18 days, 4,200 miles (not all towing) and an average of 12 mpg (US) overall.
From Ontario we stopped at:
Fort Boonesborough KY
High Falls GA
Lake Griffin FL
Grayton Beach LA
Slidell (New Orleans) FL
Childersburg AL
Walland TN
(Near) Jackson Center OH
The Toadmobile ran beautifully, except for a semi-flat at Grayton Beach which couldn't be helped,...

We're just back from our seventh trip with Towed Haul and that was the first one where it didn't rain.
Not a drop.
Dry the whole time.
I always knew seven was a lucky number! We were only down at our local Provincial Park, sadly on what was probably their worst camping site (not level in any direction, narrow and very overgrown on the exit). This was the first trip of the school holidays so the Tadpoles were with us, noisy and quarrelsome as ever,...

Just back from another weekend jaunt, this time to Inverhuron Provincial Park, on the shore of Lake Huron in Ontario.
We were quite well loaded with kids and all their gear and, as we were a little concerned about the back of the Tow Vehicle being slightly lower than it should be, we decided to look again at the way we had loaded the Airstream.
We had gradually put our bits and pieces into our pride and joy but actually had put virtually nothing behind the wheels;...
