Hey everyone,

I just found this site about three weeks ago and cant seem to stay away from it. i have found out so much info on a/s trailors
I have a 1976 23 foot land yact safari that is in great shape I keep reading about the beatrice foods years the 70s can anyone give me any info on this topic i hear that these years of trailors are not as well built as the other years however mine is stiil stock with the exeption of the new countertops that i put in and every thing still works perfect.

Here's some info I found online regarding the Airstream/Beatrice Foods relationship

"Airstream was purchased totally by Beatrice Foods in December 1967.

Thor Industries purchased Airstream in September 1979."

Airstream was not purchased by Beatrice foods until 1972 or 1973. The trailers were built well and production reached 22 trailers per day in the early seventies.

I just posted the quote from the WBCCI linked website that states it was December of 1967...Maybe the first trailers to be "totally designed by Beatrice" didin't roll off the line until the early seventies...
