Hey guys,

I got a call from the owner of Acorn Acres Campground this morning, and they are having trouble identifying for certain who is with our rally because either some of us didn't specify we were with AIR Midwest, or the campground attendants failed to enter that info on the booking.

I also just learned that in order to get the discount, reservations must be made six weeks out - by August 31! Usually it’s two months, but they like us!

So, if you want to attend, call Acorn Acres by Tuesday and reserve your space! There's no fee for this rally - just the campground fee. The campground is booking up fast for October since it is prime season in Branson. Of course, you can still decide to come after August 31 (and we hope you do!), but we can't get you the discount and can't guarantee there will be a space at all, or that it will be with the group. Let's keep those Airstreams together! This campground has good policies about cancellations, so if you think you want to come, it might be best to go ahead and reserve your space. (Check with Acorn Acres about cancellation policy). The CG does not charge the credit card used to make the reservation until you actually arrive.

The owner has promised to keep us together and to give the discount if we have at least 10 attendees. We DO have 10 definite RSVPS here on the forums, but this isn't showing on the CG books.

On our RSVP list here on the forum calendar, I have only screen names for those of you who did not attend last spring, Send me an email (cjburt2006@yahoo.com) or private message ASAP with the name your reservation is under so I can cross check with the CG.

Please PM (or email) me your name so I can coordinate with the campground and ensure the discount. I will need this information to make your name tags, too. If you attended in the spring, I have your names, emails, etc. so you don't have to send any information unless your contact information has changed. I will begin sending out emails in addition to posting here as the rally date approaches.

Don’t miss this rally. It’s laid back, not too big to get to know everyone, and is set in one of the prettiest places in the country. Every AIR Midwest Rally has been a huge success!

Just thought I would chime in and say this Fall Branson rally info is getting harder to find since this is the only post on this rally. I looked in the Forum Rallies section and the only one listed is the Spring Branson rally. It might be a little confusing to someone who is looking for a rally to attend? I think it may be because the new one was merged into the Spring rally. I'm signed up already, but in case someone comes to this string...you can find more info under AIR-Midwest Spring Branson Rally in the Forum Rally section!

There seems to be 3 fall rally pages going. The spring page wasn't merged but it still gets a lot of posts. I'm on vacation and will ask to have the 3 fall rally pages merged into one. I promise to stay out of the kitchen after that.

Anyway, more people are signing up!! Yaay. Having over 10 definite reservations at Acorn Acres for the Rally means we get a 20 percent discount off the shelf campground fee. Yaay! I'll check tomorrow, but if everyone who has said they are coming has booked their spot, we should be fine to get 20% off. If we have less than 10 solid reservations by end of business tomorrow, we will get only a 10% discount. This campground has wi-fi and cable, nice pull throughs (although I like the back-ins better). There's a map on their website, but it's a bit deceiving as to distances, etc. We have a block saved for the rally attendees that puts us all in a neighborly group.

I don't know how we got all the different threads going. Brad will help get it straightened out. I'm having trouble finding the thread(s) myself! One thing that always works is to go to the calendar and rsvp. We need a running head count to help with planning, name tags, etc.

This is a really fun rally with a great group of people. This year we will have some more amazing traylahs in our midst. I'm anxious to see some of yours, especially.

If you haven't already, just don't forget to call the campground and make your reservation tomorrow - they don't charge your card until you arrive. Otherwise, you may be in a spot nowhere near the rest of the Airstreams, and they do look oh-so-great in bunches! Of course, if you'd rather be away from the group....well, that's ok, too. We have been known to be a loud bunch! But still tell the campground, please, that you are with the Air Midwest group so you'll get the discount. And then we'll get together at the rec room, etc.

And don't forget, October is Branson's prime season, and sites could fill up.

We'll be posting a schedule and other information in a couple of weeks. I'm excited to see some new friends are coming! The more the merrier - and this is a very merry rally. Can't wait to see everyone who came last spring. I know there are summer adventures to be told.

Hello Everbodee! Just called Acorn Acres and made our reservation for Oct. 13-16. The lady told me that we are #10 for reservations and 1 more reservation today will bump us up to the 20% group discount. We went to the Wally International Rally in June in Du Quoin, IL and had some really fun Happy Hours and met some really nice people at the Vintage Happy Hours. But, AIR Midwest is still our 'home' rally. Pussycat Lounge Happy Hours (extended) RULE!! Can't find a group of people who are more friendly and fun to be around. Don't know for sure but Tim may be doin' the WANG THANG at the BBQ contest. Can't wait!!! We're looking forward to seeing Roger's 58 and it's progress as well as what everyone's been busy doing this summer. See ya'll in Oct.

I thought I would mention.......I work for Sysco foods and can get anything we sell pretty cheap. Think of it this way....I can get anything that most restruants sell so if we need some food let me know. Also if there is anything I can do to help let me know.
