OR 090 : OR Unit Rally: Last Gasp Rally of 2011 Oct 14-16

Celebrate the end of another terrific rally season with the last but certainly not least rally of the 2011 at Champoeg State Heritage Area. This will be a KISS rally, that is, "keep it simple, sister (or stupid)" depending on your preference. For rally purposes, this means that your hosts, Terri Warren and Hal Hendrix, will provide a simple Friday dinner and easy breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. A traditional Airstreamers potluck will be offered Saturday night. Keeping with the keep it simple theme, you are on your own for lunch.

We are reserving spaces in the "B" loop. Check out the Oregon State Parks website, Oregon State Parks and Recreation: Rates, for a map of the park and campground.

Bring your bikes because Champoeg has terrific bike trails, and don't forget your Frisbee and play a round or two on the Frisbee Golf Course! On Friday and Saturday, before dinner, wine expert and Airstream owner Julie Flavin and the Warren/Hendrix's will guide us in blind wine tastings. We encourage everyone who would like to participate to bring two bottles of their favorite wine with a $10 price limit. If there is interest from the attendees, we will also arrange for a tour of some local wineries on a rentable trolley.

Price: $65 per trailer for the weekend and includes RV site, Friday dinner, Saturday and Sunday breakfast. We hope to see you at this mellow-mood, fall-leaf, wine-delicious, history-rich rally before you tuck your Airstream away for the winter.
