Who Has the Most Miles on Their Tow Vehicle?

Let's keep this simple, whoever has the most miles on their current tow vehicle wins.
Folks with replacement drivetrain can play too, but please specify.

262k miles on a 2006 Ram 2500. Over 100k towing Airstreams and many additional dragging flat bed stuff around. It may take a dump tomorrow but so far it’s as strong as day #1.
Regular transmission service and it on #3 air conditioning system. 4/6 injectors replaced after crappy biofuel in Nebraska.

253,000 on 2007 Dodge Ram diesel. New transmission this summer. Yeah, I looked at new trucks. I like this truck and the $70,000 I get to keep if it keeps towing. I have known people with hundreds of thousands more miles and I hope to achieve that.

Not the winner, just a bit proud.

214K on a 2005 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins 2WD with the last cast iron 6 speed manual transmission model they built them with. A few months later they changed to the all aluminum cased G56 6 speed.

Salt free, ONE owner, ONE driver darn glad to have it. And it carries all the cooking stuff, fun gear and tools I need. And a Blue Boy.

105,000 on this 2003 Dodge RAM 2500 w/5.9 HO Cummins & 48RE transmission. All stock - No modifications! Runs great but I wish I had the engine/transmission brake. It's an old truck, but its a good old truck! I plan to keep it until it dies.

All hail Hittenstieh. With that out of the way, 2006 Ram 5.9 Cummins, 48re transmission, 221,500 miles. Original owner. Replaced/rebuilt all the usual items in the last 50K miles excepting the injectors. I may do those preemptively or I may wait until I see some signs of them needing done. My intentions are to put another 150k or so on the truck as it's been very reliable and I like it. But I'm always shopping and if something seems like a reasonable alternative I could buy something new. Although I don't like to spend money needlessly and new trucks are mighty darn expensive, buying something new really wouldn't be a burden. I just can't find anything I like better.

I just sold it but we had 280,000 on an 06 Chevrolet HD Duramax. Great truck but started having some electrical issues. I'm not to brand loyal so I bought a new 2020 Ford Super Duty. The chevy would run circles around this new truck but the Ford is super nice and quiet, and smells new : )

286,000 kilometres...not the most by far, but 17 year old 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad cab with 4.7 l Mitsubishi V8 pulling '96 Excella 25 ft. About 40% of the mileage was pulling the AS. A bit under powered for 6 and 7 % grades but it kept going. Original engine, transmission and drive line. A 22,000 BTU Transmission cooler was key to keeping the tranny going. Truck has been passed on to my daughter who will easily get another 5 years out of it. The vehicle doesn't have a spot of rust thanks to Crown treatments.

I only changed because I now travel with a companion and don't want to face a week or two in down time on a long trip. My guess is the transmission might be the thing to go.
Unfortunately this truck only came with a 3 speed + overdrive transmission, so second gear on long grades is the norm (or first at 25 mph for 5 miles climbing Sandstone Mountain in West Virginia). Six speeds would have made this vehicle a winner. I did not want a full size truck as a daily driver.
Great idea for a post Peter417!

Not me but a gentleman who winters at Land Yacht Harbor in Florida has a Suburban with about 375,000 miles on it. I believe it's about 20 years old and all original including the paint. To say it's well maintained is a real understatement. It is used for towing his Airstream

2007 Tundra Still Going Strong

323,000 miles with original transmission. Almost 150,000 of that towing the Airstream Hilton eight months per year since 2013. The secret is regular oil changes, driving 60 mph and letting the Tundra find its own speed up the steeps. We’re hoping to get another four years of towing before we retire from the Airstream life.

How about those other Tundra drivers out there?

Cheers!

Unfortunatly I wrecked my 1996 Suburban Big block last fall and it didn't make sense to repair it with 518,000 miles. Lots of oil changes and usual small stuff: water pump, timing chain, A/C pump etc. Only major repair was Transmission OH at 200,000 and again 40,000 miles later (I don't think it was a good OH job!)Never even had a valve cover off! Alot of towing- 18" box trailer, 16' flatbed and 2006 31' Excella. We've downsized to 27' Airstream and have 232,000 on 2006 Suburban big block- looking for a new personal best! They both tow great but I miss the 96!
