Just replaced a 2006 GMC Yukon XL Denali with 341000 miles. Engine still as good as new, but had to rebuild transmission twice; replaced when the third one started slipping. Understand that transmission was notorious for failures. Replaced with identical vehicle but 2019. Never had a vehicle tow so well! Dealer offered Lifetime powertrain warranty. I'm a happy camper!

Miles!

‘94 Chevy 3500 4x4 crew cab SRW stock 350 TBI. 245,000 with a brand new OTC Chev dealer engine at 220K. I believe the transmission was replaced at least once as during the engine change there were tell tail signs that somebody had been there. It was set up for a gooseneck as a work truck when I bought it out west for the rust free. It cleaned up good!

Our last TV had 276K and change on the odo when we retired it. My daughter and SIL still use it to pull their SOB camping with the Grandkids. They are somewhere over the 300K mark. Roll on F150.

My beautiful red 2004 Duramax had 235,000 before I sold it last year. Hope my new (to me) one does as well.

I am going in the opposite direction. My 2004 2500HD Silverado has 42,000 miles and all of those miles have been pulling my 2004 Airstream. It has been a wonderful pairing of two great items and they are probably going to be my last Airstream and my last towing vehicle.

Is the 2004 2500HD Silverado a Diesel? If so, what transmission is behind it?

299,500 Miles 2002 Ford Excursion 7.3 PowerStroke original 4R100 tranny but I'm dreaming of a John Woods rebuilt towing tranny. Bilstein Shocks, Red Head Steering Box, Bendix Heavy Service (Ambulance) brakes, Centramatics, MBBRP 4" trurbo back exhaust and Helwig Sway Bar. I have a real Tranny temp gauge, a Pyrometer "exhaust gas temp" gauge and a turbo boost gauge just for fun. Full service every 5000 miles.

To MickeyC: the 2500HD Silverado is a gas unit. I have never owned a diesel. The 2500HD has done a great job on both flatland and in the mountains. It does not even know that the 25 foot AS (Silver Lady) is behind it.

2008 F-350, 6.4 diesel, all original with 300,040 miles, more than half towing. Traded it in on a 2020 Ram 3500 6.7. Dealer gave me $5,500.00 for it and put it on the lot for $6,500.00 with big red letters saying NO WARRANTY.
The reason I traded it; I was taking a trip to Alaska and the mileage made me sort of nervous. Then they closed Canada and I wished I hadn't traded.
