Looking to buy an airstream but not sure how big I can tow safely Nissan Frontier V6

I have a 2018 Nissan Frontier V6 4.0 automatic 4x2. I am curious what is the biggest I can tow safely and comfortably? I am in the market for an airstream, just my wife, myself and our golden. No full time living, just weekend getaways and summer trips.

Your owners manual should have specs for max tow weight, tongue weight and total weight. You should stay within these and IMO some margin is good.

My advice would be to not let your tow vehicle get in the way of an appropriate trailer choice.

Towing is as much about stopping as it is about pulling. Probably more so. Your trailer should not outweigh your tow vehicle (a little wiggle room here).

New cars/trucks/suv’s are easy to get. The right trailer... not so much.

Honestly, and I’m sure there will be folks chiming in soon, your truck is on the light weight side. Sure you can tow stuff with it but personal safety and the safety of those around you, should be a serious consideration.

Best of luck to you,
Ian
