F150 towing a 25 FB Flying Cloud

Next week I will be picking up my new 2011 25 FB Flying Cloud - I can't wait!

I'll be towing with my 2010 F 150 Super Cab 5.4L, 3.55 rear with the tow package. I'll be using a WDH.

I feel real confident with this setup but would sure be interested in any comments and suggestions that any one has.

I'll post pictures once I get on the road.

Thanks

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Your towing set up should work OK. We'd love to see pictures of your new baby. Also, let us know how the F-150 is working for you.

We have a 2005 25FB that we have spent 800+ nights and have towed 70,000 miles. You're going to love Airstreaming and the FB floor plan.

I also tow with an F150. Our trailer is a bit heavier as it is 34'. I found the Reese WD hitch I was originally towing with allowed more sway than I liked, so I purchased a ProPride hitch and have been very happy with the results.

So, we picked up the new 25 Flying Cloud at Bates in Florida and proceeded to Tropical Palms in Kissimmee for (4) days followed by (2) days at High Falls S.P. in Georgia and (2) days at Cedars of Lebanon S.P. in Murfreesboro, TN. The F150 averaged 12.0 MPG at 60 MPH and the whole trip was great. Everything worked great and felt just right!

Glad it's all working for you Bill and Martha. We're planning on stopping in at High Falls later in the year so I hope you have good reports of the place. We still have a month until we take delivery of our 28' International Serenity. Mind you, what with the snow and ice we have here in Canada at the moment, maybe it's best we have to wait a little.

You should have no problems towing or with sway with the long wheelbase of the F150. Very sharp looking setup!

I understand what you're saying. We had a 40 degree temperature drop here in the last 24 hours with a forecast for snow accumulation Saturday. You'll like High Falls and the new rig also. Happy camping!
