Kitchen Counter B/Splash
Thinking that I would remove the wall paper to expose bare aluminum. Duh. There was a thin ply wood over the inner wall and the aluminum inner skin panel was just a small piece in the middle. The window has a 2" gap around it. So I'll have to purchase a sheet of Aluminum. I found a supplier in the Atl area. It's 4x10 sheet .032 thick 3003H14. 75 bucs and change.
This sheet is merely esthetic. I will leave the small inner panel just rivet the new sheet to the inner skin. I dont want this .032 sheet to wrinkle when riveted. Is this 3003 sheet the right panel to use? It is inexpensive for the size but cheap is not always best.
Also should I coat it with a clear after install?
Thanks
Bob
