Suspicious leak

Over the weekend, I noticed an intermittent leak on my 2004 34' classic s/o from a weep hole in the center of the black and gray tank bottom cover. It was only sporadic and suds/bubbles formed on the ground. No odor, clear, intermittent. Not looking forward to dropping that cover so wondered if anyone had experienced this and knows already what's up?

Suspicious leaks are the worst kind.

I own a class b not an AS trailer, so just tossing out the question of did anything unusual precede this event. Full tanks, rough road, sewer smells inside, right after a dump?

Well I noticed it during a dump, and it was getting close to 3/4 full, the bathroom had a slight odor but I attributed it to having the exhaust fan on and it pulling air up from the floor. No rougher roads than normal.

Hopefully, that information will help your fellow trailer owners. I'm hoping it is something simple like a valve or hose connection that needs attention.

Giving your post a bump. Any leakage while it sitting after your trip?

I had a suspicious leak that was intermittent for years. I've had my '05 Classic for 15 years (since new) and water would settle in to the area where the city water and tank flush hook ups are. Sparing you all I went through, it turned out the city water hook up fixture was faulty and replacing it solved the problem! It would only leak at higher water pressures. Frequently RV park water pressure is not great so it didn't leak then. It leaked when I used the pump and the pump cycling caused me concern. Very frustrating but easily fixed.

Had a similiar leak two seasons ago on "Cloudsplitter".

It took 15 years but the overtightened clamp finally cracked the flange for the grey tank valve. 👎
Cut an access hole in the pan and replaced it.👍

Fill both black tank and grey tank with water. Put a different color food coloring in each. Sit a pan under the place you saw the leak and wait.

I did it trying to diagnose a leak. I ended up finding the tank to valve adapters cracked on both tanks.
