Leak prevention Question

Has any one ever tried or used 3m Vinyl Wrap to seal a polished Airstream?
Have a friend who can do labor for $800 wrap is about $400. I Know the seals go out I have a 59 that leaks already it's going to go under the knife and get fully restored.
I really don't want to pull rivits and try to reseal.
