Install completed today - I will post a link to the video in a week or so once I complete editing and upload it. This is one of my favorite upgrades so far. I am going to do the same thing with the bedroom TV.

Just saw a Solo 5 today at a Best Buy in Branson MO. I was able to play some demo tracks through it and it sounds pretty good with decent bass. In a small room or a trailer it appears to be the ideal solution.

We have a Solo 5 in the house. Thought we'd just grab and go when we hit the road. I'd like to have a separate power cord dedicated to the AS but figuring out which one I need is beyond my capabilities. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket power cord adapter that will work?

I don't have a Solo 5 but looking at the owners manual the power supply is a 110v cord to a brick which probably converts to DC. What are the 12v and amp ratings showing on the power supply label? The owners manual doesn't show that information.

You might be able to run the Solo 5 off a 12v source in your Airstream as long as its fused correctly. I run my Insignia 28" TV directly off my 12v receptacle on the TV wall using a cigarette plug/cable to the round power connector. Got it from Amazon.

Otherwise just bring the Solo 5 power supply with you.

Same here. I figured only room for a 32 in my 27FB.

This weekend I tried out an old Bose radio I inherited from my parents. Using the 3.5mm cable from the TV I connected the TV to the radio and set the radio to about 85 for volume then used the TV remote to adjust the volume. The bass is pretty good from this device and it has a CD player. No Bluetooth but it works as a replacement for the Solo 5 for me. I may burn a CD with all or most of our music.

Does the Solo 5 overcome the A/C or heat pump noise adequately? Nice, clean install. Thanks for sharing.

Samsung Solo Install

Installed the Samsung 40 inch 4K early last year and added the Bose Solo 5 a couple months back. The black box at the lower right of the photo is the cable box needed here at the campground I'm staying at. Makes for a messy looking install, but it just temporary. All of the TV/Solo wiring has been coiled and wire-tied behind the TV. I have about 1/2 inch clearance at upper left corned of the TV and about 2 inched between the upper cabinet flip-up door and the top of the TV. About 1/2 clearance between bottom of TV and top of Solo unit. Great sound for TV broadcast and love the Blue-tooth to play music from my iPhone. Took my old first series iPad, wiped it clean and copied a ton of music to it so I can connect via Blue-tooth to the Solo and enjoy my music.

Seems like it does a good job with clarity of audio for the little bit I watched at this point. There is also a dialogue mode which I have not messed with but it supposed to help with hearing each word clearly.

The Solo certainly overcomes the A/C. Instead of having the TV speakers firing downward, the Solo shoots out towards you. Also you can adjust the Bass and the dialogue mode reduces the bass and ups the treble when activated. Having used the TV-Solo combo for the three months, I give it a 2 thumbs up.
