soudbar

The dual plug came with the trailer, 2007 25 safari. I already had a Bose sound link ii that I used at the house, so added soundbar to trailer. It has much better sound for television, seems wider sound stage when watching movies. It only works when plugged in to 110. The sound link works when not plugged in.

One of the issues I have with movies is dialog since my ears are getting old especially with the A/C on. Maybe the dialog feature of the Solo 5 works to overcome this. I've been experimenting with BT earbuds and a Bluetooth transmitter connected to the TVs audio out. The BT transmitter can pair two sets of earbuds, you control the volume from the TV remote. We may switch them out to decent BT headphones later.

I like this idea a lot but from my time on airplanes my ears don't like having earbuds in for extended periods of time and I also like to annoy my wife by talking to the TV when we are watching a movie so having over the ear headphones wont work either.

like fsaia I also already have a portable Bose bluetooth speaker but for those that done this is a great option. Anything in the camper that can be used for multiple uses cuts down on the number of things what you need to have on board.

Just purchased Bose Solo 5 from Bose outlet store in Destin FL. Had to purchase mount separately. Will start the laborious task of measuring, untold numbers of times, and doing layout with blue painters tape to make sure I get it right the first time.

Since I have met or exceeded a magical threshold on the forum, I am unable to post any more photos, so I can email them to you if you'd like to see them. Hope to start on install maybe on this coming Sunday or Monday.

Great post. Thanks! Went and bought a Bose Solo5 sound-bar from Super Target last night. Could not be happier except they did not have the mounting kit. I'll look for that next. Probably mount it above the TV.

I stuck a complete inexpensive system together a few days ago on the TV cabinet in the Streak. LG Soundbar. Samsung BluRay and 23" Sharp TV. (Subwoofer behind TV).

Not mounted for travel at this point. Still working with size. This one will fit rear bedroom wall-mount once a bigger, better set is wall-mounted in lounge.

Posted since picture and sound quality is great in this 35'.

(Ignore the POs CB power cable hanging off wall).

I should stop reading AirForums! I installed the Bose Solo 5 in my Classic. WOW! What a tremendous difference in the TV sound. Nice to have the Bluetooth as well. This was an easy install, as I even had an empty slot in the 120V inverter socket behind the TV.

How much power does the Solo 5 consume inverted to you think? I went to our local Best Buy but they didn't have any.

Yes, it is the standard 28" for a 2015 Bunk.

Question. Are the 120v outlets by the TV's all single plug outlets?

Dual 110V. I replaced mine with a dual 110v and 2 USB ports.

Was it a standard house hold outlet or one of the slim/thin RV duplex outlets.

I replaced the single with the dual household style in the 2012. The 2015 I just added a plug-in with three 110s and two USBs. Click image for larger version

Not sure how much power it draws, but I'd guess it's miniscule -- probably about the same as the subwoofer. It also would have a slight draw even when it's switched off as it has to retain settings for bluetooth, etc.

I just ordered my Solo 5 and plan on replacing the TV with a 32" Samsung. I was planning to go larger and get a rotating mount so I could rotate while travelling but decided that this would do just fine. I am going to finish up the main area first then tackle the bedroom with the same at a later date. I will post a youtube video when I get it done.
