Playing TV over sound system

Can someone refresh my memory? How do I get the television to play over the AS sound system?

My Airstream is not set up for this. Is there an aftermarket radio I can install that I can play my TV through?

Any radio with audio input should work. The problem with some TVs is they have no audio out! In our 25 we wired PC speakers up to the headset connection on the TV and put the speakers behind us. Worked OK but I really love the audio thru our installed sound system; you can hear it in the bedroom speakes too.

Any other tips? I tried CD 2 and it says "no magazine". Just trying to connect the Samsung DVD and TV to the audio. Frustrating
Thanks!

Ignore the message. I think you are ready to go. Just test it.

We have a Clarion brand radio in our 2015 25' flying cloud. Anyone know how to:
1. Connect w Bluetooth
2. Get tv audio thru speakers
Many thanks.

The Clarion radios have a steep learning curve. The menu system is not very intuitive - I am in the AV business and I have to take out the menu each time I want to do something on this unit. Check the manual and it will explain how to setup the Bluetooth. I had ours connected to my phone and the next time we were in AS it did not work. I played around and played around - finally I deleted the connection off of phone and redid connection in order to get it to work again.

As far as TV audio - just turn on the TV and the Clarion and run through the inputs on the Clarion. I cannot remember which one it is on but it works pretty good. If you cannot find audio you may have to check behind TV to see if you have audio cables connected. They were on ours. I also added AppleTV's to our AS TV's so we can stream from our ipads and watch movies/TV shows that we load on the ipad before we hit the road.

If like my 2015 Signature, TV sound plays through the "Aux" setting on the stereo. Be sure to turn up the stereo volume and the tv volume. With practice, you can set the stereo volume to achieve a "surround sound" effect and then use to TV volume to adjust the overall volume level.

I have a 2013 FC & still cannot get the Samsung TV to play sound through the overhead speakers. I set the radio to CD2, but still no sound. I have no Aux on the radio. Any ideas?

It's a Sony radio.

First there will have to be a connection to the audio out on the back of the TV. You can visually check that.

Next if there is a connection you have to assume that the other end connects to something on the Sony. You cannot check that without taking a few things apart

Thanks, AStreamNerds! I checked and have audio out on TV connected. In fact, when I disconnect & reconnect I can hear sound from the overhead speakers. I sent a message to Airstream & I'm hoping they can tell me if the audio in is connected to the Sony tuner...sure not looking forward to start taking things apart!

Have you checked the wiring behind the TV? The black and red RCA cables have to be plugged into the tv. Ours sometimes have to be re-inserted...not sure why they don't stay plugged in...maybe rough California interstates.

Thanks, wildwoodrver! I did check the cables on the back of the TV and they seem secure. I heard back from Airstream and they said to select AUX on the Sony audio...I do not get the AUX option. So I'm thinking now they may have not connected things up properly...guess that means taking some things apart...ugh! I did let Airstream know AUX is not an option, so we'll see what they say.
