Shower P trap options?

I'll be replacing the rotted paneling and doing a partial remodel of the combined bath on my '87 27'Argosy. There was a roof leak, with the PO that's been resolved. I'm taking the opportunity to give the bath a remodel.

I'm wondering if I could drop the shower pan a few inches and reclaim some head space. My wheel well sits under the shower seat but I'm wondering if I could replace the existing P-trap with a "low P trap" product link:

If I could gain three inches I would consider a complete rebuild of the shower.
