Leaking Black Water Gate Valve

My black water gate value is leaking inside of the black plastic tank cover under the camper. There is a hole in the middle of the bottom of the tank that liquid is dripping out of. Luckily I was told that it is the not the holding tank itself leaking but the gate valve. I had it replaced 3 months ago and the technician had an incredible hard time lowering and replacing the cover to change the valve. I am not sure why it is leaking again because it is impossible to see inside. I have thought of cutting a section of the plastic cover out around the gate value for easier access. This is a 2005 25ft safari. Any suggestions?

Cutting a section of the plastic pan for access is a common approach for some repairs. You just have to be careful not to nick the tank or pipes in the process. My 2002 25 had that done to it, and a piece of aluminum screwed in over the hole as a cover.
