Drain plug fresh water tank

I have a 1993 21’ Sovereign. I was flushing all my lines and noticed water draining from the pan under the fresh water tank. When I opened the access panel I saw that the drain plug seems to have shrunk such that water is draining around it. The treads are full of Teflon and it still can be pulled out by hand. I have never seen anything like this before. Does anyone know the correct size for this plug and where I can purchase a replacement? Thanks, David

I replaced that cheap plastic drain valve on my fresh water tank immediately after I purchased my AS. The OEM was cracked and sloppily-repaired with Goop of some sort.
I replaced it with a short section of clear pvc hose and a brass silcock. The tank outlet was 1/2” if I recall correctly, but it was a hose-barb…onto which I clamped a short piece of clear pvc hose leading to another barb I intalled onto the silcock, then mounted the silcock in the original, factory position.

David, I have the same issues with my drain plug (not the valve). Did you replace yours and if so, from where did you order it? I can’t seem to find a part number anywhere. My trailer is a 1987 Sovreign.

Thanks, Bill
