Adding a drain plug to fresh water tank...

Our vintage airstream does not have a fresh water tank drain plug installed. I am wanting to add one to make it more easy to clean and maintain.

Anyone have any recommendations and/or experience with this?

We have a 1975 Ambassador.

It should have a drain valve installed on the feed line. If not...just put one in the line there.

If the plumbing hasn't been monkeyed with, you should find three low point drain valves below the floor under the kitchen cabinet. One of those is the drain for the fresh water tank. Simply follow the feed line down from the water pump to the tank, and you should run into the valve.
