Are you saying water is running into your trailer above the kitchen window?

I'd guess the awning roller sagged at the center and so that's the low point. Awnings aren't water proof.

I think you're sayin that when ya pull out the awning after it rains, from the closed position, water comes out that had gotten trapped during the rain, right?

If so, I believe that is normal. At least it happens to me. Also, after a rain ya might notice that when ya lift or lower the jack to hitch up and have the trailer at an angle, trapped water will also run out of the awning. But I'm pretty sure that's normal too cause, like mollysdad said, the housing ain't waterproof.

Hi

Getting water into a closed awning seems to be a pretty normal thing. How or why it gets in - who knows.

Well if ya push on the plastic hinge thingee that becomes the housing while it's closed, you'll see right away how and why. It ain't watertight. Ain't even designed to be.

When I set up our awning I always put one side up higher than the other. You just pick a lower setting on the rafter arm. I usually set the rear rafter lower than the front. That way water doesn't accumulate in the awning, it just runs down the back and away from the AS.
