Ultraleather Cushion Repair

Am seeking advice regarding a permanent repair to rips in the seat cushions where the Velcro is sewn on. I am planning to replace the foam in these cushions which are about seven years old (per this thread). The ultraleather (brown) is in fine condition. The bottom of the cushion appears to be a thinner and cheaper white or cream product to which the Velcro patch is sewn on. The Velcro is strong, and over time has pulled and ripped away from the cushions as show in the photo's.

Any ideas on type of patch or glue? Any other ideas? Am thinking of some sort of large patch glued to the inside of the cushion. Just not sure what would hold up to the stress and strain needed when pulling the cushion up and off the Velcro.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Glue a patch of canvas or canvas-like material over the inside/backside of the ripped Velcro area. The patch should be larger than the ripped area. As a glue, I recommend 3M 90 spray-on adhesive (https://www.amazon.com/3M-Strength-C...s%2C201&sr=8-2). This is a contact cement and is very permanent and produces a very strong bond. Do not get it on areas you do not want it on because it does not come off when dry.

3M 77 is often recommended, but does not provide as permanent of a bond as the 90 product.
