Question Sport 22 dinette problems

I've just purchased a 2010 22 Sport with a pedestal dinette mounted on a lift system. The table rotates and slides, but it appears that the table is mounted incorrectly. When the table is in the narrow position, aligned with the edge of the outer seats, the table is too close to use by anyone seated on the back cushion of the u-shaped dinette. The sliding mechanism slides back towards the cushion, making the space even smaller. When I tried rotating the table top 180 degrees, this alleviates the space problem with the back seating area, but the table then slides in the other direction, toward the counter top.

Another problem is when I tried to lower the table to convert to a bed, the rubber feet on the bottom of the table don't line up correctly, so the table doesn't seat properly. The rubber feet are designed to fit inside the seat well to keep the table from turning, but one side ends up on top of the bench. This creates a big hump where the table is positioned.

Any ideas on how I can detach the table and reverse the slide?

It sounds like another opps in the quality control. Better take it to the dealer let them fix it. This way it is documented in case something else isn't just right. Trust me you'll find more as time passes.

Can you post a picture of this issue. It sounds interesting.

I had the same problem on a unit that just came in. We took the sliding track off and repositioned it in the center of the table. Now the unit will slides out so there is more room in the dinette and slides in to make the aisle easier to pass.

I am writing this to Airstream to make sure future units are corrected.

Need a tutorial on the my 22 Sport dinette table

Just spent my first weekend in my new 2013 Sport 22. Had a great time but couldn't figure out the dinette. Have the same issues as the original post by Gary P in 2010. Is this an improperly mounted table? What configuration is best for sleeping so that the table to "flush" with the seats? Can any Sport 22 owners offer help?

Always had the hump on mine, figured it was just due to the fact that the table top sits on top of the seats and accepted it. My now 4 year old has never complained about discomfort, so I've never given it a second thought. Given that the table top is bigger than the space between the seats, I don't see how one would ever achieve a flush condition.

The one complaint I've always had is the slides, they seem to be pretty poor quality, always leaving the table top feeling a bit wobbly.
