How long for the MotherShip to grant an appt?

I filled out the online request for service (warranty) a while ago - wondered how long it takes for Airstream to respond with a scheduled appointment time?
Should I be following up with a phone call?

We scheduled a vist in 2019. AS responded to our request within hours. COVID has slowed everything down...

Covid delayed our April axle appointment to August, be patient, the service side is worth the wait.👍

I spoke with Kevin. Very responsive and flexible. I postponed my warranty repair twice due to Covid (we’re high risk). I took pictures and videos of my issues and forwarded it to them. They estimated about a day based on what I sent. I arrive on a Monday evening for work on Monday in March 2021. I’ve heard positive reports about their work!

Calling them is the only way I've ever been able to get an appointment as they do not respond to on-line requests. I called for my mid-December appointment back in early September. Yes, ridiculous!

Hi

Give them a call.

Back a couple years ago, the wait time for an appointment was about 3 to 5 months. It was a bit easier if you were looking at February vs August.

Even in that environment, we had a brake self destruct just up the road from the factory. They got us in the next day .....

If you go on the Airstream web site you will see a service request button. As already mentioned the response is quick. I usually make an annual appointment to fix things that I am getting to old to do myself. Even including Covid delays, the web and email responses have be prompt and accommodating.

In early August, I called for an appointment when AS didn't respond to my online request after a week. The first available appt at that time was mid-Dec.

2-3 months out for appointments. You can bring it in far beforehand. COVID protocols in place. They still have the gift/supply shop open.

Taking delivery Dec 26th of my '21 Classic 33 - I'm sure I will need work based on so many comments after taking their delivery - will they allow an appointment even before I own it. LMAO

Definitely call them, not knowing your issue I could only tell you my experience with an electrical issue since my 2015 kept kicking the 30 amp circuit breaker at my home docking station. they told me they could not make an appointment but if I wanted to I could bring it in (185 miles) they would take a look at it as soon as they could. Since I'm always ready for a trip to take it out I told them when I would be there and they took it in and corrected a breaker wire within about 4 hours and I just stayed the day and camped at their facility (no charge hookups on site) and was back on the road the next day. The other option is to have your dealer call them since you are still under warranty and they have priority in getting dates. That also happened to me when our 28FC was new and the furnace didn't work when I was about to take a 2500 mile trip. Fortunately, we were going from CA to KY so I would not be to far from them, my dealer got the appointment at the time I wanted and they fixed it in a day. This was without the COVID rush the factory now has. But that approach is worth a try also.

That sounds like a great idea.

By the way, make sure you check all your windows for small cracks. I would recommend taking a flashlight. Once you leave the lot, the cracks are yours.

I would also:

1.Start every burner on the stove.
2. Make sure that the refrigerator works in the Propane & Electric modes (Have them Cool it down with propane before you get there and then switch it over to electric while you are there.
3. Cycle the power awning a couple of different times while you are there.

Have fun and enjoy.

Call them...helps to discuss issues that need addressing.
My appt was made about 5 months in advance. So I had plenty of time.
Covid has had an impact and they were booking out.
My experience was ok on warranty work to a point I'd rather not discuss here.
My asked for work was, well again, not for discussing here.
Let's just say I would seek an alternate person to work on mine.
