when plugged into 110V at home, it appears that the heat pump runs in addition to propane when the heat function is turned on. however, the air coming from the vents in the ceiling is cold. what's up with that and how do i run propane only heat without the heat pump running?
If the outside temperature is below 45 degrees F, then the heat pump will blow cold air from the ceiling vents. As mentioned above, select the furnace from the thermostat and your problem should be solved. You can also select Auto, but if the temperature is close to 45 degrees, then you may find that your system cycles between furnace and heat pump.

I didn’t see this in the owners manual PDF. But, in our 2018 Globetrotter with 2 A/C’s the Furnace selection is under the Zone 2.
